“Lunch and a pint”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

Popped in for a spot of lunch and a pint. Had two sandwiches which were really tasty and well presented. Service was really quick and staff very friendly. Will definately be back. Pub was busy with lots of people in and out but plenty of choice of tables and kitchen were very quick with my order.

“Acceptable Chain Pub”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

3 of us visited for lunch. Nice and spacious inside, well organized ordering process, plenty of pleasant staff and good value food. What more do you want from a large edge of town pub like this.

“First visit for maybe 25 years, won't be back!”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Having made a late decision to eat out, with our sons keen on pub grub, we eventually settled on the Luzborough, where I used to frequent occasionally at lunchtimes when working locally. Very busy Friday night and most of the tables were taken so we took the empty one opposite the bar. Our starters arrived quite promptly but three of us were very disappointed that the 'special' of duck spring rolls (£4.79) consisted of just two fairly small ones with some leaves, the hoisin sauce followed. Four or even six better quality rolls in Morrisons for £1!The waiter took our plates away and I told him how disappointed we were with them but I didn't catch his reply. My wife hadn't finished her starter at this point, but he still took our plates away! The burger wasn't particularly impressive, nor was my 'Large fish' and chips. Not particularly large and poor for the price, soggy batter and even soggier cod. We decided to pass on the sweet menu - not cheap by local standards either. All in all, a bad choice, and when I went to pay the barman didn't even ask if we had enjoyed our meals. Not good quality or good value at £74.

“no longr any atmosphere in this pub”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

menu has changed for the better but the pub has changed hands under gone a refit and have employed all new staff.
Unfortunately it has lost its atmosphere as a result of this.
Shame the location is right but hopefully they will get it right before the summer truly begins.
