So after all the hype and mass traffic jams of opening we finally got there today. Good points: Free Wifi (more of that in a moment), free parking and you can take dogs (the old village it replaced did not allow dogs on site so we never went back).
The Wifi is a real bonus but you need it because the shopping experience is utterly average. The usual boring hight street shops and frankly not that many of them either. We walked up the 'High street' in about 5 minutes. A short detour into 'Tiger', which is about the most interesting shop there, and a short dalliance around the New Forest Ice Cream stall until we saw how much they wanted to rip us off for ... ahem ... I mean charge us for a small cone..... and we were done.
If you want a great shopping experience go to Gun Wharf Quay. If you want lots of boring high street shops goes to Southampton. If you want free wifi and expensive ice cream go to Whitely.
