Description: The White Lion in Yateley is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

Good service, with attentive waiter. Food was nice, although the website was a bit deceptive in that we thought we'd be in the countryside and the pub itself didn't look as good in 'person' as from the website.

I have eaten here twice recently and on both occasions have come away feeling relaxed and mellow, the congenial atmosphere of this pub ensures any visit will be a good one. The menu is varied and a reasonable price, the food is well cooked and beautifully presented. I wouldn't hesitate to return should the occasion arise.

This is a very popular pub/restaurant which we use often for mid week meals when cooking feels like a chore. We've always been made welcome and enjoy the ambiance especially when the open fire is lit. There are always customers outside on warm days and children are welcome.

We ate here on Mothers day and we thought it was ok. The service was rather slow considering it was a limited set menu and it didn't seem to be especially busy. The food was ok but nothing special. There is plenty of space in the restaurant so there was no problem with making a reservation. This is a reasonable pub lunch but we wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion.

i've eaten here a few times now with family and friends. last saturday i went 'crazy' and ordered the vegetarian main. wow, what a surprise, so highly recommended!
what a let down the 'cheesy garlic bread' and 'chocolate pot' were in comparison. was just too much cheese, that was kind of a cheese sauce souped in the middle of bread that was not 'tear and share' by any standards. use the knife it comes with! the chocolate pot, for some reason, i was expecting like a little chocolate ganache pot. but instead it was like this cold wobbly chocolate jelly on top (similar to meat fat on top of gravy) with this liquid chocolate underneath. 2 bites was enough for me. still cost me £4.50 as it was served with my coffee. the garlic bread was overpriced too. our waiter was timely and personable, but he didn't ask why i hadn't finished my food and cleared the tables without checking. atmosphere is relaxed and good place to go with friends for a chat over food. just keep to the mains!
