We had a two night stay in this wonderfully clean b&b. The service was top rate Bill and Shelly went out of their way to help and the breakfast was lovely. We would definitely go back. Many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable

Trip Advisor did the job for us once again- having read the reviews we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed in any way. The B and B was incredibly professionally run by Bill and Shelley, who did everything they possibly could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable; they even went out of their way to find a baby monitor for us after we had forgotten to bring ours! They let us store our bikes and bike trailer in their garage, they helped plan cycle routes, they allowed us to leave our car there even after we had checked out and the breakfast was top notch! If you are after a country farm house, characterful type B and B then perhaps this isn't the place for you. If, however, you want to be looked after professionally and kindly, in a spotless house where everything has been thought about, close to the centre of Lyndhurst then look no further. Thanks again Bill and Shelley for being so kind.

we stayed here for two nights and were impressed by the welcome and the excellent breakfast.
the only reason we do not give it a rating of five is that the fan and plumbing in the opposite bedroom were very intrusive and we were kept awake until 1.30 am on the first night by the guests constantly using the bathroom and i am sure the noise from our bathroom could be could be heard in their room as well-some sound proofing needed !.

We would like to thank this reviewer for their kind words about our welcome and excellent breakfast.

Our B and B is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac away from traffic noise and has been extended in accordance with building regulations that require extractor fans in all bathrooms and a high specification of noise dampening insulation in all walls, floors and ceilings. The en-suite bathroom in the room that this reviewer stayed in, is to the highest specification and is 3 Mtrs by 1.5 Mtrs, with a 1.5 Mtr wide walk in shower The bathrooms are back to back with a deaper than usual wall in between designed that way to hide plumbing and increase sound insulation and has been tiled both sides. The fans are operated by the light switch and have a 60 second delay after shutting off the light.

By merely closing the bathroom door from the bedroom all but the slightest sound is eliminated.

We have taken every measure we possibly can to give our guests a comfortable and refreshing night’s sleep and our score rating from other reviews reflects that. But human beings make noise and very light sleepers should not book into a B and B if perfect silence is what they seek.

However, we are grateful for this review and judging by the previous rating of the other 36 places reviewed by this traveller we did not do too badly after all

The Meadows is situated in the "capital" of New Forest at the end of a quiet closed street a 5 minute walk from the city.

We stayed with Bill and Shelly for two nights. On the day we arrived we were welcomed by Shelly who showed us to our room, a nice, clean and cosy room with an ensuite bathroom completely new facing the garden. In our room was a tray with tea and coffee and a jar of biscuits. We also found a lot of useful information on what to see and where to go in the area and both Bill and Shelly had a lot of good ideas and suggestions on how we could spend our two days in New Forest, which we talked about each morning over our homecooked breakfast.

We had a great stay at the Meadows Bed and Breakfast and will highly recommend others to stay here.

This is the first time I have bothered to review a holiday which speaks volumes about the quality of this B&B and the efforts made by Shelley and Bill to ensure you have a great holiday. It is a modern house, which has been tastefully furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard. Rooms are very comfortable with lots of nice touches mentioned in previous reviews. I was staying with three teenagers who shared the triple room - something which might have worried some hosts! We were made to feel most welcome from the start and they were particularly impressed at the extensive DVD collection available to guests plus the fantastic breakfast we had each morning. Lynhurst can be a busy village and it is nice that this property is situated at the end of a quiet residential cul-de-sac whilst being only 5 minutes walk away from the High Street using a very handy short-cut!
Thoroughly recommeded - you won't be disappointed!

This is a great B&B. Situated right in the centre of Lyndhurst, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle, and most importantly, from all the traffic! Walking distance from the hub of the village, great parking and ease of access to all the main arterial roads through the New Forest and Southampton, couldn't be better placed for a holiday break in the New Forest.

The hospitality from the hosts is over and above the call of duty, with the couple taking a great friendly interest in you and always making sure to call you by name and introducing you to other guests, so you feel more like you are in a home rather than a business.Breakfast is to die for! Not just the run of the mill food here. It will set you up until dinner time! You are also welcome to come and go at any time of the day with no frustrating curfews and restrictions. The accommodation is more than standard, with superior furnishings and decor too. No expense has been spared in this lovely home. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely visit again. Thanks guys for a great time.

Room Tip: All are good, nothing to choose between them.

We stayed at this b&b recently and the hosts Bill and Shelley was really friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very generous and plenty of choice. The room was well equiped and spacious. It is very central in Lyndhurst but tucked away in quiet cul-de-sac. There is a conservatory for guests to use. Within a few mins of the b&b is wide choice of pubs and restaurants to choose from. We especially liked the jar of biscuits supplied in the room. We would recommend anyone to stay there. There is private parking for guests.
