We came across excellent reviews of this hotel while searching for somewhere to visit for a winter break. Living in Brighton we have often passed through the New Forest to stay in the West Country but never actually stayed. It was great being in such a pretty and different area for us to explore and only having had to drive for two hours from home! We found all the staff to be incredibly welcoming, friendly, professional and courteous. The hotel had a lovely style mixing old fashioned charm with crisp modern touches. Creaky floorboards, luxurious towels, exceptional breakfast and breakfast room and some lovely cocktails...we certainly recommend this hotel and hope to return. Excellent value for money breaks available. Thank you Crown Manor House Hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel has lots of character - the giant fireplace as you enter the hotel, the quirky lift and the feature fireplace in the bedroom to mention a few. Great location for exploring the new forest area. Good selection of hot and cold options at the breakfast buffet. All staff were friendly so great service.

The only problem we had was the room was super hot...not sure why as there was no radiator that we could see or adjust! There was an air conditioning unit in the room and we ended up using this to cool the room as the window would not stay latched open.

We would definitely recommend and come and stay here again in the future.

Booked a 2 night stay in winter. Helpful staff. Easy to get to. Cozy room and tasty breakfast! Well located for everything in the new forest. My dad absolutely loved it! Room was a bit small (although we were informed of this prior to arrival) so loses one star for value for money. Would recommend to anyone visiting, suitable for friends/ families/ couples

Our son booked this hotel for our family for 3 nights over New Year. It was a change of scene for us as we usually go the the Cotwolds. We loved the location and had excellent meals at Thai and Italian restaurant in the High Street. Nearby Beaulieu is a must see.
Our room was a superior at the back of the hotel. It was smaller than we were expecting, but very clean and had everything we needed.
The food on New Year's Eve was delicious, but didn't match the festive atmosphere we have encountered at other hotels as balloons etc didn't get handed out until just before midnight in the bar.
The Irish band were great, however there was nowhere to dance initially as the guests had arranged their chairs in rows in front of the band ( hotel staff should have considered this). However my daughter in law and I started to jig in a corner and some people moved in order to create a small space and this encouraged a few other guests to dance.
Overall it was a lovely stay and I would certainly return to this hotel at another time of the year.

I stayed here for a weekend with my husband and two young daughters in the summer of 2017 and was appalled by the way this Hotel treats customers from start to finish. During the hot summer months of August, the towel rail in our en-suite bathroom was set to an unbearably high temperature so that when I accidentally brushed the rail – for a very short period of time and without applying much pressure – I was severely burnt and ended up suffering from scarring which covers my forearm. I still bear this large and unsightly scar now, several months on.

There were no warning signs about the temperature of the towel rail and it was clearly unsuitable for guests and presented a hazard.

When I reported the incident to the receptionist at the time, I assumed (wrongly) that some action would be taken. Instead:

- No investigation took place, and no one came to visit the room for the rest of our stay to check on the heater, or the damage to my arm; and
- Despite filling in an incident form, no one has contacted me since to discuss the incident and no apology has been forthcoming.

I suffered burns over 2% of my total body surface area and had to visit A & E the next day for several hours to have the wound treated. The scarring still affects my fashion choices today, as I would rather not wear short sleeves and expose the scarring to other people for fear of questioning. I suspect this will be the case for many years to come. What is so offensive about the whole incident is that the Hotel has not even had the decency to acknowledge my situation or apologise.

If you care about the safety of you and your children, customer service and/or respect, do not stay here.
