Owner description: There is a viewing platform for deer. Picturesque forest and national park for the family. Very picturesque and ponies wonder around. It was very busy Easter Weekend but still and enjoyable day out, getting back to nature.

“One of my favourite places”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

Have been a few times - you wont always see dear but they may be in the other fields which you can see round the sides if you wish

The countryside around is very scenic as well though the noise from the a31 can be a little intrusive as you get closer

“Stunning”
Reviewed 16 March 2014

Fantastic place to go for a walk and take a picnic, stunned we've not been here despite having lived down here for 18 years. The weather was superb but any clear still day would be best. Go at dawn or dusk and you can see potentially four breeds of deer.

“Patience is rewarded”

Stand a while and await the arrival of the deer, sometimes you do have to wait awhile but it is worth it.

“Lovely walks”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

There are some lovely walks from a quite short one to much longer if you feel up to it. A good place to view deer and in the summer months there are lots of people picnicking on the green by the car park or in the wooded area which has barbecue facilities. Take a drive through the Bolderwood Arboretum which leads into Rinefield Ornamental Drive and on to Brockenhurst. A lovely area of the New Forest.

“Lots to see”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

Educational and a great place to bring children. The larger animals have plenty of room to wander but the owls maybe need larger enclosures.
