Stayed here for the weekend and the owners Mike and Teresa were really helpful and know the forest inside out and gave us a list of places to go check out.

The beds were so comfy and the English breakfast is excellent - proper local produce used best bacon I've ever had!

Location wise the B&B is a v short walk from lyndhurst, cracking little town and there are great walks to be had directly across the road around Bolton's bench- take a stroll from the house over to Limewood to enjoy a nice bottle of wine and a pleasant wander back.

There is a ice private off street car park too. The rooms have all recently been decorated and nice high ceilings and brand new beds.

Really can't fault the place - look forward to returning later in the year

Thanks guys.

Everything about our stay went smoothly. Both of our hosts were very friendly and helpful. They gave us excellent advice each morning. Plus the full english breakfast was a great way to start the day.

We stayed here in late August this year, booking over the phone. After reading a few other reviews, I subsequently emailed to request a room at the rear of the property to avoid road noise and also to ask about checking in time. On our day of arrival, I contacted the owners with an ETA, thinking this would be helpful. Upon arrival at the B&B, the first thing the owners said to me was ‘oh, here’s the one who can’t stop emailing’, and then proceeded to go on and on, implying I had been a real nuisance to make contact about a couple of things. This was not the initial welcome I had hoped for having driven all the way from Cornwall, it reminded me of a bit of a blundering Basil Faulty type greeting. Once shown to our room, we found this to be spacious, with a nice shower room. The fridge in the room was very handy for storing snacks and drinks for exploring the New Forest. The breakfast was very nice, with a good selection of cold and hot food. The location of the B&B is on the main road, which seemed busy at all times, so I was glad of a room at the rear of the property. One thing I would say is that we did not feel the selection of restaurants was all that good in Lyndhurst. We were there 3 nights and ate in Lyndhurst twice, both meals were pretty bad. (See these reviews separately). I would recommend this B&B, for comfort, location and breakfast, just hope you get a more welcome greeting than I did.

We had a lovely weekend at Temple Lodge. Mike and Teresa were lovely hosts. Very welcoming and friendly without being over the top. The house was beautiful and our room was much larger than I anticipated. It had a nice seating area and a huge King Size bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom was equally very large, modern and bright. We had a great night's sleep and the breakfast the next day was spot on. Definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back of the house and it was very quiet

My nephew booked guest house for my brother and my sister in laws 40th wedding anniversary. He couldn't have chosen better the location was ideal for walking into lyndhurst on an evening great restaurants and also new forest just opposite with donkeys, horses etc.
The guest house is well appointed plenty of space in the rooms great lounge area, parking is tight but not a problem with Mike assisting to get most out if space.
The welcome was great shown where everything was told times for breakfast.
Great comfortable beds so after a long journey just what you needed, tea coffee biscuits plus a fridge well stocked with price list should you need anything.
Breakfast has to be the best everything fresh and locally sourced. Well cooked. Even made things to order like mushroom omelette.
Well done will definitely go again.

Having searched a few B&B's in the New Forest area, we eventually decided on Temple Lodge. Not often is the web description an accurate reflection of the actual accommodation, but this this couldn't be further from the truth with Temple Lodge.
Great welcome, great area recommendations, great room and GREAT BREAKFASTS.
Thanks for exceeding expectations and providing superior service.
