Stayed on a business trip, booked a single room. Very pleasantly surprised to find I was given a very large and pleasant room. Not the usual single "cupboard" you often get when alone.
Booked through booking.com and got a very good price for a hotle in the middle of the New Forest.
All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Ate dinner in the restaurant food OK but service rather disorganised, however everything came in a reasonable time frame.
Overall very good value and I would stay there again

We stayed here the weekend before Easter. The weather was bitterly cold, but we had a lovely time.
The family room we were in was very big, nearly 2 rooms & everything was clean & well maintained. Despite the sub-zero temperatures the room & the public areas were warm.
The staff were friendly & helpful.
Ate here 2 nights as it was too cold to venture out far after days outside. The food was good - what you would expect from a chain restaurant. A couple of items not available due to the menus changing over. Breakfast also good - my kids ate their way along the cold buffet.

Room Tip: The family room we had had 1 double bed & a fold out double sofa bed, so not great if you have 2 children who don't want to share. Was fine for us.

Very limited choice of food, despite what is advertised. We oredered at 7.20pm, last orders at 10pm, six meals were not available. Food very disappointing, quality poor. Also only two out of four real ales available.

We stopped here on our way to our holiday destination, waited to be seated, which was fairly quick, told waitress would come to take orders. I went to the bar & asked for a children's menu as 3 children in party & not offered a kids menu. when waitress came she asked what drinks we wanted, I asked for a drinks menu, but told they didn't have one....? ordered 5 soft drinks, not knowing how much we would be charged for them, as no menu... Our food came after about 15 mins, 2 bowls of chips, fried & bit greasy, 2 veggie burgers, again burgers had been deep fried & quite greasy, & a kids sausage & mash, mash was ok, but sausage was burnt... was a shame the kids meal didn't include any veg, some peas would of been nice, as sausage & potato a bit bland. kids meals are pricey, £4.95 & if you want a starter, dessert or drink you have to pay for them separately, most places do some sort of meal deal for kids... we had to go & find some sachets of ketchup as waitress served food & went straight off....we were asked at the end of our lunch if everything was ok & I did mention the veggie burgers & chips were greasy, we were seen by the manageress, who deducted the 2 veggie burgers off our bill....which we were grateful for....
The waitresses didn't seem to have a uniform as such, they all seemed to be wearing their own clothes, some vest tops, which I felt was a bit inappropriate & untidy looking...
Also no soap or toilet roll in gents toilets & toilet doors didn't shut properly.....
Overall we didn't enjoy our lunch at all & think that a lot needs to be done to improve this place.....would not recommend....

We ate at the White Rabbit in March on our way back from Lymington. We waited to be seated as instructed however the staff ignored us for about five minutes. We were eventually waved to a table in a direction we could not see. We then waited about 15 minutes for anyone to come to the table to take a drinks order. This set the tone for the whole meal - wait and wait and wait! There seemed to be no staff around, one waitress seemed to be waiting on all the tables while the staff member who waved us to the table was also manning the bar which seemed to be her priority. When the food eventually arrived it was either cold or burnt. Don't bother with this place there are much better places to eat in the area.

Room Tip: Dont eat in the restaurant - I dont know what the rooms are like.
