Long been a fan of Ringwood ales even though I'm based in the Midlands so as we'd booked a stay in Bournemouth for a few nights i wasn't going to pass this opportunity up.

First brewery tour I've been on, and i think they've set the standard pretty high.

Free beer on flow before the tour began (Ringwood Best Bitter), an informative and enthusiastic talk and tour around the brewery which lasts around 90 minutes, and you get to taste the malts and hops that are used in the process, before more free beer to your hearts content when the tour has concluded (and you have the choice of 5 different ales too).
Plus you get a free half pint glass to top it off.
Absolutely nothing salesy about it either, which I think deserves particular applause these days.
Oh and you can even pull your own pint if you wish, which my fiancee was really chuffed with!

If you're in the area, and you like your ale - just go.

I was raised in Ringwood but only return once every two or three years. This time I decided to take a tour of the Brewery even though I've been an Old Thumper and 49er fan for years. What a great experience it was. Our Guide was John and he made us feel welcome and at home straight away. The tour starts with the history of Ringwood's connection to brewing, which goes back over 1000 years. Of course you have to taste Ringwood's Best Bitter while listening. Your glass is quickly refilled if it becomes empty.

The tour then starts and we had a very interesting and informative account of the whole brewery. I have been on several brewery tours but this was the most detailed and we were allowed to see in the tanks and try all the ingredients.

Once this was complete we then went back to the bar to sample the 5 different beers that Ringwood make. Again this was free flowing and we even got to act as the barman and pour our own.

All in all, a great experience that I would recommend to anyone, as long as you like REAL ALE. Lager drinkers should not attend!

What an amazing little brewery. Such a fantastic value for money tour, beers on arrival, flowing beers at the end plus a souvenir glass to keep. The guides are both very knowledgable & interesting, it was great to hear all about the history & making of such great beers. A must for everyone!

Always enjoyed Ringwood beer, and the tour was accompanied by several halves! Tour guide obviously knew his stuff, and loved his job - fascinating to hear about the history and the brewing process. Will go again, and learned that the shop is open daily for "jugs" of our favourite beer! Price of £10 includes beer!!!

A weekend break to the New Forest with a couple of friends was made truly memorable thanks to the tour of The Ringwood Brewery. Aton, our tour guide, is a credit to the business - his knowledge and passion for the beer made for a fascinating and enjoyable tour. Amazing value for money, regardless of whether you are an ale drinker or not.
