Beaulieu is what we would describe as an expensive picnic site. £42.50 for two adults was not good value. The grounds and rhe Abbey are beautiful however the museum was a little disappointing - if cars are your thing we would recommend the centre in the Midlands

Went attended the Beaulieu Motor Museum in was totally unbelievable on what they have on display. Really loved seeing the Bluebird and many very rare. Motor vehicles. Also enjoyed the atop Gear displays. Sadly it is let down by a very badly run restaurant / coffee bar.Our group all bought coffee and sandwiches / scones and all of them were stale and uneatable.
If fact the sandwiches were one day past there use by date. I talked to a staff member who would not refund the food purchase price ( we had no problem with paying for the drinks as they were ok ) but he refused saying we should write in to the manager. Obviously we all left and all said we would never return. Please note the motor Musemn is faultless just the food is totally disgusting

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to see your comments and apologise that you had a negative experience in the restaurant, which is run by catering company, Leith’s at Beaulieu. We regret that your complaint was not treated with the response that it deserved and we would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have forwarded your comments to Leith’s for them to action.

It is lovely to read that you enjoyed the rest of your visit to the attraction and that you were so impressed with the museum and its exhibitions and displays.

A "must see" for anyone interested in motoring. This has everything from "The Bean" to "Bluebird", from the 19th century to the present day, and an exhibition of Top Gear stunt cars. See my Beaulieu review for more.

A visit to Beaulieu is a great day out for the whole family. Not only is the House and Abbey ranked with Chatsworth, Blenheim, Woburn and the others as one of Engalnd's top ten Treasure Houses, it is also home to the National Motor Museum with more than 250 vehicles dating from the late 19th century to the present day. Where else on one site will you find a stately home, a ruined Cistercian Abbey, a stunning collection of vintage cars, sports cars, racing cars, motor bikes, and an exhibition of the actual Top Gear stunt cars. Add in a ride round the estate on the monorail and/or on the vintage London double-decker bus, all in the price of the entrance ticket, and you have excellent value for money, even better with the discount if you book on-line a day or more in advance. The Brabazon self service restaurant serves all kinds of food throughout the day, locally made and sourced.

Attended the Motor Museum which was a wonderful day out. Not only does it have cars galore, there are lots of other things to do which would please different age groups and interests.

Would recommend not just to car enthusiasts.
