“Great Find, stay here!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2012

My wife and I stayed here over the Ludlow Food Festival weekend and cannot praise them to highly.

As previous reviewers have said great beds and a fabulous breakfast (the bacon is especially good), spotlessly clean, very comfortable and would be a great place to unwind, unfortunatley we did not get the chance as the festival took up all of our time. But we will be back.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked great, we had the super king room.

My partner and I booked our two night stay at Mount Pleasant Lodge at the last minute, hoping for a place to unwind in pretty surroundings and spend some quality time together. We were not disappointed! The only surprising thing was that this B&B was not booked up on a bank holiday weekend. I can only imagine that this is because the owners have not been running this place very long, and will very soon build up a base of loyal guests who return again and again.

The house itself is full of character with spotless, inviting and pretty rooms and we arrived to find a warm welcome from the owners. We felt a part of the family. The views both from the front and back of the house are stunning. My partner and I had the king size room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in (I'm off to get myself some memory foam pillows like these at the first opportunity!) and there is obviously a lot of care and attention that goes into making this a good stay for the guests - such as providing fresh milk, sweet treats, filtered water and advice on how to make the most of the local area and facilities. The breakfast was superb - especially the full english, with organic bacon and sausages sourced locally. I recommend a visit to the church literally over the road, which is steeped in history and makes up part of a scenic walk to Croft Castle managed by the National Trust with a tea room, gift shop and opportunity to explore the castle interior. In nearby Kingsland, we ate at The Angel pub/restaurant, which offers a friendly reception and we could not fault the food, which was good value. We have plans to return again to this charming B&B in a lovely part of the country.

Delightful setting, friendly welcoming people and fabulous and spacious bedroom that had been very tastefully decorated to the highest standard. After 25 years of business travel up and down the UK one of the best overnights I have had. Also within walking distance is a superb gastro pub (booking advisable).

While looking for a wedding venue we took the opportunity to stay overnight at Mount Pleasant Lodge.

Set in the tranquil village of Aymestrey, the house nestles in its own landscaped gardens.
The beautifully designed and spacious bedrooms lend themselves to a country feel with huge comfortable beds.

Our deep sleep was only disturbed by the smells of the delicious full English breakfast creeping into our room. A king of breakfasts!

We highly recommend this family run, picturesque, beautifully designed, welcoming, 5 star B&B!

Having recently stayed at this lovely house, we can wholeheartedly recommended Mount Pleasant Lodge for any families or couples looking for a B&B in a beautiful setting with a large helping of locally sourced English Breakfast - compliments to the Chef! We can also recommend the local pub for dinner which is just a few minutes walk and offers great food which both ourselves and the kids enjoyed. We will certainly book again for later in the year.

I stayed at Mount Pleasant Lodge in November 2011 with my Nan as we were visiting family in the local area. We had Room 2, which has a really pretty view over the gardens and local Church. The room is spacious and very bright and airy. The guest lounge is in the lovely conservatory and really relaxing.
The breakfast was spot on and the owners, Pat and Lisa are both really welcoming and make it a lovely place to stay.
Would definitely stay again.

An aptly-named b&b, as it was very Pleasant. A lovely house in a quiet picture-postcard village, ideal for walkers/cyclists or anyone who wants to "get away from it all". Run by a mother & daughter (& dog) who are very friendly & approachable & make you feel at ease as soon as you arrive. If you have any questions about the area or local activities, they have lots of information & maps available. The rooms are quite spacious & well decorated with all the usual amenities (tea/coffee making facilities, TV, en-suite bathroom, etc.) & the beds are very comfortable. The pub just down the road offers great meals. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area.
