Went here on a Friday night with a large group and a child. Welcome was warm, we were shown to a nice table in the window and asked if ones without drinks would like something. Think there is a new lad working.there on his first day but the girl serving us was really fantastic. She appeared to be on her own most of the night and managed our orders, drinks, food and desserts as well as the rest of the pub and was polite, humorous and very discrete, she was an aset to the business! Food was pleasant, a touch expensive but arrived at the same time and didn't leave us disappointed. I had a sundae for dessert and they are truly excellent, value for money and tasty on a summers evening! When taken as a whole, the ambience of the place is lovely and it was well managed and well presented. You pay a bit extra yes, but with this kind of environment and this level of service its worth it.

The ambiance of the establishment hit's you as soon as you walk through the doors, darkened beam, white washed walls, original brasses and décor. The staff are very friendly and informative, which backed up by good quality and sensible priced food. After travelling from NZ this establishment is classic. WE have only been here for 6 days and I have been there 4 times now for both lunch and dinner. I consider it now my local as I can walk to and from where we are staying. Thank you for making us welcome.

We come here quite regularly when visiting family. This is a great pub with reasonably priced tasty food - much of it homemade. There are always three cask ales and they are very well kept. We are always made to feel very welcome by all the friendly staff. The gardens are meticulously kept and the views across to Bromyard make outside a good place to sit on a warm summer's day. In the winter it' s cosy with real fires, beamed ceilings and horse brasses. This is a great example of a country pub.

What's not to like? Highly recommended.

For those that have never tried this place, give it a go, it's set in a stunning position on the edge of the Bromyard downs, with views that are breath taking. We are lucky to live not to far from this place, on this occasion went for evening meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary, taking our kids along. We prebooked a table close to the pool table so the kids would be occupied. Upon arrival, they had reserved us a table exactly where we asked for.
There is a reasonably varied menu to suit all tastes. Prices are about right for the quality of the food, ie not the cheapest, but then the food is always very good. On this occasion I went for the sirloin steak, it came cooked exactly as I had asked. The friendly and helpfull staff accommodated a few alterations to the kids meals. The staff are always spot on in this place.
The beers available are really good, as a casque mark pub, this should be expected, but they do keep a good pint. The house wines are also very good.
The only negative point I have to say is that the outside of the building is letting the place down a bit, the front of the building as you arrive looks very shabby when viewed from the car park, but please don't let this put you off,, once inside it's lovely. The gardens and patio area are also beautifull on a nice day.
Overall a very good place to relax, enjoy a decent pint and tuck into some decent food at a reasonable price. I would definitely reccomend to anyone and will certainly be going back again.

This in my opinion is a bit overpriced for the standard, nothing really terrible but if you can have better food more reasonably price what's the point of going, service .lots of great pubs to eat in bromyard, but stunning location.
