Had lunch here recently with my family, both my self and my sister said we had the best cottage pie here that we had ever tasted, so much so I can't wait to go back, service was excellent by a very attentive young man, nothing was too much trouble for him, pleasant atmosphere, very clean

A return visit to the Crown and Sceptre for our annual visit to Malvern spring flower show
Excellent value for money food was great and always a friendly welcome. Rooms are ok very clean if not a little small (room no. 2) the evening meals were excellent value with the offer of getting the cheapest meal free. The breakfast was also good with a choice of cereals followed by a full english (was given a choice)
will definatly revisit in the future

Room Tip: Had room no 1 last year which is bigger than room no2

I was wary upon arrival here as there was a party arriving at 8.0pm in the Function Room at the back of the Hotel and our room was at the back!! However a very pleasant young man checked us in and showed us to our room, which was as previous people have stated "Basic"...but it was clean and there was everything we needed.
I think we should remember, this is a small Inn, situated in the middle of a small town ...Not a 5 Star Country House Hotel charging MUCH more!!!
We had a wander around Bromyard, and chose to eat in the Pub. It was "Excellent"...I was very surprised. They must have a very good Chef and we both really enjoyed the meal.
We had no noise from the party, and slept very comfortably. The shower was lovely and lots of hot water.
Breakfast, again not a huge selection as you would find in a more expensive place, but it was all beautifully cooked and presented.
I think the owners here are trying very hard to make this place a success and we would certainly return!!

We spent a few days in Bromyard with some friends. We are a difficult quartet as I have an allergy to garlic and my friend is a vegetarian (eats fish). We were warmly welcomed in the pub and the chef came out and talked us through the menu. She even made a special dish for our veggie friend!
The food was great - fresh and good quality. Service was efficient and friendly - the waitress remembered our drinks from the previous night!
There was a special BOGOF offer on all the main courses which was exceptionally good value.
Would really recommend and we will certainly return when we are next in the area.

We visited for a last minute weekend break, picking the Crown & Scepter from Tripadvisor after a very quick search.

It's a great place to stay for that purpose, it's right at the end of the main street, staff were friendly and welcoming and it's a good price. It's obviously been recently refurbished both from appearance and from reading older reviews and the rooms were nice, clean and functional and a good size. This isn't a five star hotel and the rooms were exactly what you'd expect from a pub with rooms. You are going to hear some noise from the bar and street that's the nature of this type of accommodation in a place that's 150 years old!

We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but the breakfast was really good quality and a good size. We drank in the bar and it was friendly and welcoming, a good locals pub.

The bed was really comfortable and the room well heated (February), the sash windows are single glazed and there was a reasonable amount of after midnight music noise from a pub up the road in the front rooms so you might want to ask for a quieter room if your a light sleeper!

It did exactly what it said on the tin and we'd definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back!

The pub itself is excellent the staff friendly and very helpful...the back room is brilliant if you want to watch sports on a large screen. Enjoyed a whole afternoon in there drinking and chatting to friends with the rugby on the big screen great atmosphere.
The food and value for money was great...the food was pub grub which is always a nice change from gastropub food.

The room was good although only slept in it...the room clean and bed very comfy. But double glazing and a blackout blind would help easy the noise from the road and the streetlights and stop the draught through the window.
A lovely well cooked breakfast in the morning

otherwise a great stay and i think we will return

Thank you to all the staff

Booked a table for 11 of us for a birthday meal. Had a great table and the atmosphere was brilliant, restaurant was busy but we felt like we were the only ones there. The food came quickly and our meals arrived all together. One of our party who was following slimming world asked for the butter to be left off and was delighted to have not broken her diet plan. The food was super and we were able to take advantage of a 2 for 1 meal offer. Great value, great food and a great night.
