I have wanted to visit here for ages. What a wait. Lovely historic pub in old hatfield. Great stop off if you visit Hatfield house. Nice range of drinks. Thatchers is the cider on tap. Food selection very British, sort of place you can guarantee that the Sunday roast is delicious. Will need to revisit on a Sunday.

This is a nice oldy-worldy pub with dark interior and nooks and crannies. They serve real ales as well as popular lagers and all the usual stuff. Occasionally have live bands and there's an excellent magician doing the rounds with his card tricks.

Always keen to support local pubs. The Eight Bells has always been a favourite. It's a popular pub with a friendly atmosphere and popular with locals. It's a pub without all the modern chintz and is in keeping with Old Hatfield

This pub is located in the picturesque old town of Hatfield which is close to the Rail Station for easy access to and from London. Situated on a street corner close to the church, the pub consists of a couple of old cottages knocked into one with low ceilings and beams. It seems to attract a fair few locals, with a darts league going on when I visited. Three real ales on handpump when I visited which were well kept. It offers food but I did not try this. Several different alcoves and rooms lead off the main bar area. Only disappointment was that the gents toilet was pretty unsanitary and the lock was broken on the cubicle door. Well worth a visit for the beer though!
