Lovely venue and Food was very good.

They didn't have a particular champagne we ordered but offered a discount on another bottle, the staff were friendly and went out of their way to reserve a table in the bar/conservatory area for us.

We would certainly go back again!

I have been to this pub for lunch on several occasions, when we first started eating here, they had just changed their chef, the food was absolutely amazing, however I visited this Monday for some lunch with some friends, and to be honest, I think that same chef must have had a day off. I had roast dinner, it was probably one of the worst roasts I have eaten. The service was average, however we were advised that it was her first shift, so probably shouldn't be too hard on the girl. The whole experience was average, average isn't really what I wanted.

We have eaten here before and the food has been pricey but nice. Went one Saturday lunchtime for a treat as we were celebrating, there was only two of us and the restaurant was quite. We were shown to our table but not offered any drinks, had a look at the menu and decided what we wanted. A group of 6 were seated after we arrived fairly close to us, they were offered drinks straight away. These were brought to them and their menu orders were taken, meanwhile we have still not been offered any drinks. Another couple arrive and were seated behind us, they were offered drinks and these were brought, we were still not offered anything. We tried to catch various waiting staffs attention without any success. As we were already going to be paying so much for our meal we felt it was unfair we should also have to chase down the staff to order it. At this point it was starting to pull our mood down so we got up and left. I told one of the waiting staff we were leaving and he didn't seem that bothered. We went to another local restaurant called the red lion and had a lovely meal.

Excellent family friendly pub. I often take a trip here for a nice relaxing drink in the huge beer garden. Normally after walking the dogs, who are also welcome. Really nice restaurant too with great food if you want to dine formally. If not, the bar menu is just as good for a meal in the garden. Two down points are they are sometimes a little pricey, both food and drink, and I'd rather a nice pint of Fosters/Carlsberg or Carling, instead of the continental lagers all the time.

We have eaten both in the restaurant and garden several times now and have never been disappointed. We always receive a warm welcome and all the staff are great and very helpful. We have never had a complaint about any of the food ordered it has always been excellent. Can be a bit pricey but you know that before ordering so is not an issue. Whether eating as a couple or group the atmosphere and service has always been good and we would recommend it to anybody.
