A pleasant park with the river Gade running through it. The walled garden is a lovely oasis beautifully planted with bedding each year and quite a sun trap. The park has a busy and popular childrens playground with lots to challenge all ages. Outside the confines of the playground is lots of green space for playing ball games and picnicking, a skatepark, bowling and in summer other outdoor games. It is close to the old High Street which is worth a wander and the lovely St Mary's church.

Plenty of parking, new skateboard ramps the old iron bridge and play park, great little areas to paddle in the river gade and take a net to catch little fish, has fairs twice a year and used to have carnivals and shows not sure if they still do? I played here as achild and with my kids too, theres a pitch and put entry to the church st Marys and the walled flower garden a great little play park toilets and parking that end too, usually an icecream van there or near the bridge, also was a crazy golf and giant chess game not sure if still is as open summertime, great for a walk stroll, walk the dog or sit relax chill or read a book, great for a picnic on those balmy summer days, the old towns just up where the church is or 5 min walk in to main town. Worth a visit x

Such a beautiful park to walk around, picnic in etc. But what always puts me off visiting here with the kids is a lack of facilities! This park could be superb if a NICE, small cafe was provided. Somewhere where you could grab a small snack, hot drinks, cakes etc. I am shocked this hasn't been provided before, as I am sure it would be well used. For this reason, we always visit either St. Albans park or Cassiobury Park in Watford, both of which have lovely small cafes. The children's play area would benefit a lot from a bit of a facelift and some new equipment, again Cassiobury Park in Watford has much better playground equipment.

Probably one of the better places to visit in Hemel! In the summer It can be very nice when the weather is good! Wouldnt want to go there late at night though as I wouldn't feel safe! The kids park is quite nice and the park is quite big so its nice to walk around while enjoying an ice cream!

We regularly come to this park for a walk around or scoot (young children to get them moving) and to watch the seasons change. We usually park in the free car park, I think it's a park & ride, then scoot/walk round. We play 'poo sticks' over the bridge, and picnic on sunny days. The main grass land is lovely and very open. With a small stream for fishing.

The children's play area, is ok.. Parts need updating & are vandalised, but ok for a Hemel park, as you won't find much better.. All ages come to play, and there's usually an ice cream van parked out side all year round.. Toilets are located near the children's park.

There are picnic tables, but to be honest they are in need of a good clean & you usually find the drunks hanging close.

If you park in the pay and display, make sure you buy a ticket as traffic wardens are often seen.
