Reviewed 14 September 2011

Stayed in this hotel as an alternative to London proper for a couples' vacation.
The value for the stay was unbeatable, even considering the £35/day travel cost into London.
The bed was pretty uncomfortable however the linens and pillows were very nice.

Location was pretty good: right next to the mall and a Pizza Express right next to it (highly recommend it over the hotel restaurant). Gregg's was good for breakfast on the go though the hotel breakfast was very good as well.

Only location downside was that it is a small hike to the train station (£5 taxi ride each way alternatively) and is not on the London transit line so you pay a bit more than if you were staying closer to London on the train line (within the zones).

Overall, only reason not to stay here is if you're determined to stay in London proper and don't mind paying extra for it.

Room rate of £29 and a 'meal deal' package for £22 which gave a 3-course dinner with a glass of wine plus a full English breakfast. Brilliant! The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The car parking was free which is great in a city centre. Thoroughly recommend it.

Really nice, very clean, friendly chatty check in staff.
Lovely breakfast in the morning!
Nice room, was dissappointed that they no longer have mini shampoos as we ended up paying £8 each for a mini travel pack from reception just so we could wash our hair. Also the shampoo was very bad quality. BUT, i'll be back! (With shampoo packed)

Our first time staying at a Premier Inn chain. Pleasantly surprised. Not a luxury hotel but definitely a clean, affordable stay with friendly staff. If you're looking for hotel quality rooms but at B&B prices, Premier Inn is a great option.

From the moment of checkin to leaving the staff were fabulous. Great location for our stop on the way to France. Minutes from the M1 with great car parking.
Room was spotless.

Stayed at Hemel Hempstead Premier Inn on 26th August, was VERY impressed with our bargain night...only £29! Was easier to find than we expected, parking was plentiful..in the multistory carpark attatched to the riverside shopping centre...this 2 was a bonus...I could shop!! The staff at Hemel were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. We cant wait to come back down south...a brilliant base if travelling to London, train straight to Euston from Hemel station. Anyone travelling to Wembley...stay here! Really easy links to Wembley central.

Whilst I never expect Premier Inns or budget chain hotels in general to be anything special, for the price (£19 per room) this is pretty unbeatable. We booked three rooms for a wedding for the six of us, but could easily have fitted into two as the rooms are big and there seems to be a double and a single bed in each room. Clean throughout and in a good location.
