The campground grounds well maintained, but the restrooms are pit toilet(out houses) which we were told when booking we would be near the restroom area if we wished to use them, due to not having sewage, but did not explain they were outhouses. The deal breaker was my family came in to visit us we traveled to see. They charge $6.00 per person to enter campgrounds, and no exceptions. It cost us $30.00 per day for my family to visit us, while we stayed at the campgrounds. The excess was they would use the facility activities. It's was October and everything in the campground was closed except the game room, and not very many 55 plus people usually use those. Just can not recommend this campground, and would not return their. Can not understand why Good Sams recommends them, they just missed on this one.

I took my family to this campground for the weekend before school started back again several weeks ago and we had a great time. They had events planned out, which showed me that the staff really likes to be a part of their grounds, rather than seeming to be out solely for a business, you can tell that they really care about how your stay is going. I didn't see the bathrooms, as my camper has its own facility, but the ammenities I did see were kept pristine. The swimming lake was almost like a pool, but more natural (which kept the camping environment that much more real), and the sites were all well-kept. The kids really enjoyed the fishing too - I didn't expect the pond to have more than two kinds of fish in it. All-in-all it was one of the best camping experiences I've ever had, and I would recommend at least a weekend to anybody looking to camp.

Room Tip: The back-in spaces are a little limited, but they offer a certain feeling of privacy, but the pull-t...

manager is rude, talks down to you and acts like their doing you a favor by letting you stay there. facilitys like shower room and flush toilets are a joke. men's side has 2 flush toilets and just 2 sowers, not to mention that one of the showers hardly has any water pressure. just a trickle. and this is the only shower facility for the entire camp ground. terrible! also we left the second day because of campers across the lake in rv's partying and being so loud till 4 am. we couldn't sleep. and this is all after being given this site on the lake because the primitive sites we originally wanted was so muddy and so far away from any facility's that we asked to be moved. then to find out that they have a catch and release policy for fishing. this was not mentioned anywhere in anything we read about the place. it just says fully stocked fishing lake. so if you do catch the big one of your dreams , be prepared to throw it back! this place sucks and i will never go back there. oh and by the way, if you need ice in the morning, you will have to get in your car and leave the grounds to find a local store that is open and has ice because the canp ground store does not open till 11am. what a joke.! never again!

Room Tip: dont go there!

Recent family camping trip to this campground was just ok. While the camp store and game rooms were nice and they provided a wonderful beach for the family to swim in the lake. I found the bathhouse and play areas to be lacking in what you would expect to find when paying 45+ per night. The bathhouse (which the front of floods in the rain) was musty and dimly lit. Additionally only one sink is available for use while you are in the restroom. The camp store had inconvenient hours from what I am used to and all the facilities are closed when the store closes. So unless you plan on not using the game room, playground (just two slides no swings) between 11am and 7pm you wound be able to use them at all. Overall average for the price.

We picked this campground as our very first family camping trip. We have a 5yr old and an 18month old, so we wanted a place with activities for children. Our kids had a blast! Hayride, gem mining, arcade, crafts, and a really great mini-beach. The weather kind of stunk, but we still managed to spend a few hours swimming. Super friendly staff and a really relaxed environment. My only complaint is the restrooms near our campsite were basically outhouses. No sink or running water. We were camping in a pop-up, so we had no choice but to use them. There are more modern bathhouses up near the front of the park, but that required us to drive. Not the end of the world, but it's the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars. If you have a camper with a toilet/shower, it's a non-issue and I highly recommend you stay at this great campground.

Very scenic, beautiful, and appealing. Lots of activites and clean facilities. The log cabin store is overly impressive. The store has everything you need from camping items, groceries, souvenirs, candy, firewood and etc. Great fishing and swimming. Will go back again.
