As usual, Premier Inn deliver a hotel well suited to the business traveller and those on short breaks with families.
I was on business, staying for a single night, and it is clear the hotel is very popular for those travelling to the nearby Harry Potter World.
There's plenty of parking, reception were as pleasant and well mannered as usual and guided me in the direction of a local retail park for a few things I needed (a mile down the road you'll find a Sainburys etc). They don't have one of the 'convenience vending' machines in reception from what I could see (the things that sell items like razors if you've forgotten something) but with the retail park so close this wasn't an issue.
There was plenty of parking and the Young Pretender pub next door to the hotel appeared popular with both residents and locals alike. I didn't go in, but it did look welcoming and a lot more appealing than some of the pubs I've seen on Premier Inn sites (such as Dunstable which is dominated by locals and workmen and has an intimidating an unwelcoming atmosphere).
The room was as every other Premier Inn room is. There was only one large towel in the room and I'm pretty sure I normal get two, but I could be incorrect. It just stood out to me and I stay in Premier Inns usually at least once a month.
The hotel is perhaps a little more worn than many of the other Premier Inns I go to (with the old 'key' entry instead of keycards) but the fact is that it represents outstanding value for money and you'll have to go a long way to find reception staff as courteous and friendly.
WiFi here was very good. That's critical for my stays on business and in many Premier Inns it is a weak point, but it was swift and reliable at Kings Langley.
It doesn't have aircon in rooms although the old aircon controls are still on the wall (a lot of Premier Inns seem to have these but have had the aircon removed). That said, it wasn't needed when it was only 9-10 degrees outside.
The shower had good pressure too, again something else that I find can be poor in Premier Inns.
All in all, highly recommended for value for money and consistency across the Premier Inn brand.
