“How can anyone resist the puddings?”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

We returned to the Oxford Arms for Sunday lunch and once again were not disappointed. Fred keeps a good range of beers and Sadie makes the best puddings around here. There is a good choice of roasts, as well as their usual extensive menu. We had the roast beef this time, but if you cant make a decision they are quite happy for you to have a bit of each meat. The portions are generous and the service is good. An ideal place to take the family as it is a cosy relaxed atmosphere and you are not pushed to eat up and leave, as you are in some establishments these days. Of course my favourite course is always the dessert and I am never able to resist a Sadie pudding....they are divine! Go try!!

“Proper Pub Food!”
Reviewed 31 October 2013

Been here several times, every time the service has been great (the staff really make the effort to welcome you), the food has always been delicious and they provide very generous portions. They have a very good selection of beverages and the menu has a variety of different dishes to choose from. You are made to feel very relaxed and are treated like a regular local which is great!

“Excellent food”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Ate alone here one evening as I walked the Offa's Dyke National Trail. Don't be out off by the surroundings. The decor is rather tired. ,It feels very much like and old fashioned local pub. It was very quiet the evening that I was there( Monday). However don't be put off, it was very friendly, I was a 60+ woman eating alone and the food was excellent. Perfectly cooked vegetables. Good value.

The food very good and a great atmosphere. The ginger sticky pudding to die for and it is massive. Red wine a very good price for a large glass
