“A surprising wild wood just off the A49”

At the top of Dinmore, you can turn off the dual carriageway into the car park at Queenswood. Walk a few yards and you are in the wild wood. Although wild, the walking is not especially rough. Every now and then a view opens up and you can see right across Herefordshire to the mountains of Wales.
I love this wood in all seasons, but it especially beautiful in spring when the bluebells are out.

Very well signposted, with fine views and plenty of parking. Good for dogs. And people. How much more do you want?

Lots of walks through the woodland, full of dogs and noisy children. It's ok if you like walking your dog through trees, not much else happening here apart from that.

We stopped here on the way home through Leominster. Not too huge a woodland park, great for a quick or medium walk thought the lovely woods. Nice play area and lots of picnic tables and grassy areas. Nice little shop, loos, plenty of dog water bowls, free parking, perfect.

This is a lovely place to spend a few hours with children - good play area and lovely walks. The shop and cafe are very reasonable and the variety of trees is stunning. Good access for anyone with wheelchair. Dog friendly too.
