This arboretum has lots of well marked pathways, suitable for all levels of fitness. The park contains loads of specimen trees, all of which are well marked, and some of which have been donated by members of the public. There is a good play area for small children which is well fenced against messy dogs, a small restaurant serving excellent basic food and drink within a very old but well preserved wooden building typical of the so called "black and white" houses found in this part of the world.
When I last took someone of limited mobility there, electric buggies were available - not sure if they still are - best to check before going.
All in all a good day out - especially for those of you with small kids.
