Characterful old "black and white" inn that seems quite rightly popular with locals and tourists like us alike, all seem to be made welcome by friendly staff. Lovely open fires, good choice of real ales and local ciders and excellent, wholesome food- we were well taken with the enormous choice of Ludlow Pies, all served with chips or mash and peas or salad, and an additional gravy boat, excellent value at £7.95 each. I could easily have stayed there all day but getting back to our hotel afterwards may have been tricky in consequence. This really is a must visit if you think you like English pubs...also if you think you don't!
