Visited on a Sunday in March late afternoon. Was greeted by a member of staff who dealt with our drinks order quickly. Not cheap but there's nowhere particulary cheap in Tring these days. The pub was quiet and souless but we stepped out into the garden to enjoy the sunny rays.
My gripe was the lack of bar snacks. Having asked if we could order some chips we were ubruptly informed we could 'order a roast dinner or crisps' Er, no thanks. i wanted neither. The pub wasnt busy and only a handful of clients were dining on said roast dinner. Is it so difficult nowadays to chuck a few chips in a fryer. I most likely sound petty but Im unaware of any pub kitchen that cant rustle up something as basic as a few fries or similar bar snacks.
The decor is nice and it's looking fab but if you can't do the basics then I shall be going elsewhere.
