Visit the smugglers most weeks in the season always a friendly welcome , a good selection of hot and cold food , drinks and fresh home baked cakes and scones all at reasonable prices . The views from the gardens are amazing and we love to see the many lovely shrubs and plants .

“GREAT VIEWS”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

Went there in mid April on a warm sunny day for lunch. No problems about parking or toilets. The tea rooms are out of times past - but that's part of its charm. We sat outside and had a wonderful view out to sea. The staff were friendly and it was divine just to sit in the sun and eat our lunch in such perfect surroundings. We had coffee, and I had a ploughmans and the wife a toasted sandwich followed by home made fruit cake.all at very reasonable prices. There is a nice big lawn area in the front where kids can play. Yes - a wonderfully peaceful way to spend an early afternoon.

“What a tea rooms should be”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

We had been meaning to visit here before. Glad we managed to fit in two visits this year. A quiet terrace overlooking a lawn, trees and the sea. Great value cream tea (£5) with friendly service. What more can you ask for?

“Lovely fruit cake to accompany great views”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

Smugglers Haven is a traditional tea room and garden - some might say it is old fashioned. We had a sandwich lunch there which included a pot of tea and some lovely home made fruit cake. We sat in the gardens. The toilets are adjacent to the cafe's car park some distance from the cafe itself. There are a few steep steps up to the cafe so it may not be suitable for someone who is disabled.

I wouldn't go out of my way to visit the tearoom - there are better ones in the Isle of Wight, but on the day of our 11 mile walk from Wroxall it suited our purpose.

“A few small tweaks could make the difference.”
Reviewed 29 June 2013

We popped here for tea and a bite to eat. When we arrived, one of the elderly relatives with us left the front door open slightly. To be fair, it was a very cold day in April, but a man in the kitchen stormed up to the door, and closed it without comment, and scurried back into the kitchen again. I can see his point but this was far from welcoming. The atmosphere here would probably be very good normally, but that really dampened it for me. However, the 2 ladies who were behind the counter seemed friendly enough. I ordered a toasted sandwich, which was fine, but, a little side salad would have made all the difference, as i litterally was just served 2 slices of bread with cheese and ham inside, toasted, and cut in half. Tasty, but sadly lacking in presentation stakes. However, it was nice and cosy inside, especially when the door was shut, and the grump chef was out of view!
