My husband and I stayed here with two other couples. We have all been going away together for some years now and this must be the loveliest place we have stayed in. Being met by the owner on our arrival was a nice touch and much appreciated as were the extra touches such as the home made cake! All three bedrooms were comfortable so no one drew the ‘short straw’. We cooked in some days and usually found everything we needed. On the one rainy morning that we had we made ourselves comfortable in the tv room and watched a very recent film supplied by the owners so no one had time to be fed up.
The house is in a good postition for trips out and not too far from some good restaurants. Our favourite was The Teverners. There was plenty to do in the Isle of Wight including some lovely walks. Our only gripe was the cost of the ferry to get there!! (But obviously not the fault of Chapel House owners)
Although the weather was not kind to us during our stay, (snowed in for two days), it did not spoil our extremely enjoyable and relaxing break in this spacious beautiful dream home. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms lovely and the kitchen well equipped. Also there were many comfortable seats throughout the property.
The owners were wonderful and considerate during our stay. The treats that they left for us were much appreciated, particularly during the snowed in days!
This is a unique place situated in a peaceful location. The White Mouse Inn and a small local shop (selling food and essentials) are both a few minutes away in the car and in good weather you could walk to the shop.
We drove to the Needles along the coastal road from Chapel House which was lovely with the wintery sky.
We thank the owners for a wonderful stay and hope to return - maybe during summer when the field at the back is full of corn, must look amazing.
We loved the time we spent at the cottage and long to return (which we hope we will when we can!).
The layout is amazing, with two good rooms downstairs and a lovely room upstairs.
There are ensuites to each room and therefore plenty of space!
The kitchen and dining room is perfect for casual food, and dinner parties. We entertained one evening which was fab.
The lounge is cozy and the snugs great for either peace or reading a book. We'd love to stay in the summer. But would love a hot tub, to just be the icing on the cake!
The view is beautiful and the hosts do warm and friendly. You couldn't ask for anything better. :)
