five of us enjoyed a wonderful 5 courses, served at just the right speed, we were treated to the best lamb I have ever tasted included in five dishes that had us talking about our experience into the night. You have got to open up in Southampton soon!

Three of us booked for dinner while on a short beak in Cowes. We read about the "shut up and feed me" menu, and two of us ordered three dishes while one ordered 5. The choices brought to our table were beautiful to look at and truly delicious...we were in foodie heaven! The kitchen seems to ensure that in your selections, you get one substantial dish (ours was jerk chicken and slaw) so we felt very satisfied by the end. Every dish was prepared with imagination and technical skill, and was alive with flavours - it kept us guessing as to what the spices were or the subtle flavours in the background.
If there was a slight negative, it was the somewhat over-casual service. Our waiter was very friendly - but he called to us across the room and didn't describe the meals to us in as much detail as we heard him doing to some other guests - not sure why - maybe because we are a bit older? Not a problem though - he was a charmer, and nothing could spoil the wonderful experience we had.

We dropped into Nomad for lunch by chance really. We were greeted by a very friendly guy who explained that he would listen to what our food tastes were and then the chef would create us a street food inspired lunch! Hmmm sounded a bit hit and miss. However when the food arrived it was fantastic! All very fresh and creative, inspired by Asian and middle eastern type flavours. We absolutely loved this restaurant, great food, very different to anything on the high street. My wife and I loved this restaurant and so did my two teenage daughters! We will be returning very soon. Only one negative and that is there isn't a Nomad in our home town.

Thank Chris C
