Went with a group of friends on a Saturday night (Sept 11). Had heard mixed reviews of the restaurant, erring on the side of 'disappointing'. Had a very mediocre meal. Only one waitress. They have a 'specials' menu at £10.95 each but the only 3 items that looked appetising were not available. A la carte menu ranges from 15.95 upwards with wine starting at about 16.95 a bottle. Ordered rump steak in a creamy mushroom sauce - tough and tastless. Meals just come with a few chips. Apparently the Portugeuse style fish and chips was ok but again, a small piece of fish with a few chips for £15.95?? I'm not a fussy eater but really wasn't inspired by the menu, prices or quality. Sorry Manuel's, but you need to up your game to get repeat business from the Cowes residents. Also there is only one loo -shared by men and women. It's not very nice having people queuing for the toilet in the main restaurant .....

We had just arrived in Cowes, dumped our bags and went to explore the lovely location. We had no idea where to eat and fancied something different we spotted a restaurant near the Marina and decided to go in.
The lady Alex who greeted us was so friendly and helpful, it felt like you were in her home country of Portugal. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so nice we would go back again.
My son is only small and so she brought him loads of seat pads to raise him up on the chair, she offered to cook him anything he wanted as in Portugal they don't have childrens meals as such. He opted for an omelete and it was very nice, " Had to check for temperature!!!!". We had a starter platter of parma ham, cooked ham, olives and bread there was enough to feed 4 and it was delicious. I asked for some olive oil and Alex came over with a bowl of olive oil and Balsamic which was above and beyond. She was so friendly and attentive she made the trip so much more special with her genuine caring nature. We had the beef and carrot which was like a stew, again enough to feed an army..,This restaurant is not in the prime location of some of its competitors and that is a shame but the food was lovely, the restaurant was immaculately clean and tidy and the staff lovely.

Very welcoming, seven of us came early with the children and were made to feel welcome from the start; it is a family run restaurant, who really look after their guests. The food was very delicious and the portions were very good. All in all very good value.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with nice Portuguese paintings and it also has a great terrace with wonderful views over the marina.
Thanks for a very enjoyable evening.
