Took my 94 year old mother for a cream tea to the New Holmwood today and apart from the excellent cream tea (also very reasonably priced) the Restaurant Manager was so kind in the trouble she took to help my mother who was in a wheelchair, putting extra ramps in place and opening up a separate restaurant area which was more accessible and ensuring she had a good sea view. Although there is wheelchair access it is not the easiest to negotiate but as well as the Restaurant Manager, other staff came to help and a gentleman who was behind reception (sorry don't know who you were) immediately came forward as we were about to leave and wheeled my mother down to my car. Superb service and my mother was delighted and is already talking about coming back again.

I stayed here overnight with my Staffie in tow, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, they really do welcome dogs. My room was very well appointed, good ameneties. The food; really very good, plates were hot! (makes a big didfference), great breakfast, cooked fresh. I would stay again.

Took elderly friends to watch the marine activities as it is a great location.
Initially went for drink then decided to eat and as always excellent.
Shame about the coffees just so bad, suggest cafetieres or even kenco millicano just do not try to make Latte/Cappucino unless it is prepared on an espresso machine!

Just back from a lovely weekend at this hotel. Our rooms were good, the view was great, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and very helpful. There was a wedding reception at the hotel whilst we were there, but it did not interfere with or affect our stay in any way. Would certainly return.

Took my 92 year old mum for a holiday. The hotel staff are really first class for their willingness to help and for their attentive service, nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel has a great location for anyone who enjoys sea views and sunsets, and although the building is in need of some upgrading the rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean.
Lots of guests were clearly regulars, always a good sign!

Stayed just for one night and breakfast. Night porter very helpful when I got there late. Staff at breakfast friendly. Food quick and tasty. Great view overlooking Solent.

The only downside was the decor/ambience of the room/corridors which was tired and in need of renovation.
