We ate on a quiet night but the food and service were very good. We had a window table so were able to enjoy the good position and the sailing activity. Good value for money, could only eat two courses.

Great atmosphere, fantastic view and excellent food. The fillet steak was cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and there was live music playing. You must try this if you are in Cowes.

I have always enjoyed Lugleys and it has by far the best position of the, admittedly limited, restaurants available in the immediate vicinity, looking over the Solent. It is a very pleasant brasserie in the traditional sense: dark polished wood and an unpretentious but efficient set-up with live music (a bit loud for my taste!) on Saturday nights. We have eaten there several times when we have been staying at the Squadron nearby or on our boat and chose it as the base for the precursor to a big lunch party we were having the next day i.e. a supper party for around twenty people the night before. The staff could not have been more efficient, were happy to go with my table plan and put the place cards out, gave us a very nice set menu with several choices of starter, main and pud at a reasonable price, put up with the not inconsiderable noise we made with panache and, all in all, looked after us very well. Both the manager, Charlotte, and the inimitable Jedd, were ever-attentive and calm and everyone was very complimentary about the whole set-up, as were we. I would certainly recommend it to anyone - it's not trying to be extraordinary or uber-original, but it works very well just as it is.

We had a great day taking a friends boat out on the Solent and across to Cowes for lunch. I do not think there is a great deal of choice in Cowes and we struggled a bit to find somewhere we fancied. However, eventually we went into Lugley's and had a nice lunch which included very friendly service

We visited as a family on Sunday for a gat tasting roast beef dish and decided to retun tonight for a meal. Again service was friendly and Jedd looked after us very well despite a busy evening.
Good well cooked fish and chicken equally well served.
Shame some wines were missing but overall we were very pleased and in laws in their 80's enjoyed every morsel.

Thank Richard W
