“Top quality B&B”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

Lovely location, room to high very standard akin to 4 star hotel with all you would expect of such including bathrobes and room accoutrements. Host very engaging, warm and welcoming. Off street parking and walking distance to town centre. Breakfast excellent. All round a very enjoyable stay. Would not hesitate to visit again.

Excellent quality B&B located in West Cowes a little over half a mile from the main town centre / parade. Nice setting in mature gardens with off road parking and pleasant outlook. My room was on the first floor. Large size room with sofa, TV, coffee / tea. Complimentary water and biscuits were a nice touch. Fresh coffee made for me on arrival. White Company toiletries, huge white towels, nice bathroom with separate shower. Nice view down to the sea. I imagine the garden looks stunning in summer. Had an amazing sleep in the very large and comfortable bed. The room was nice and dark at night and very quiet. The owner was very attentive and helpful. Full english breakfast featuring local produce was brasserie style and of a very high standard. Good selection of fresh fruits & yoghurts, fresh coffee / tea, juice etc. all went down well.

Room Tip: The large bedroom at the top of the house features a wonderful balcony area with views to the sea an...

We stumbled across Mimosa Lodge in March 2013 and have been back three times. It is a wonderful B & B and Sally and Jeremy are so friendly and hospitable. The rooms are really comfortable and the bathrooms offer a choice of a long soak in the bath or a quick shower, with the addition of wonderful shower gel and shampoo. The freshly cooked breakfast is delicious. We particularly enjoyed being able to make a pot of fresh coffee in our room. Cowes is within easy walking distance and the seafront is just a couple of minutes away on foot. A great position. We have already booked our next stay!.

Room Tip: All three rooms are really comfortable. The room on the top floor has stunning views over The Sol...

My husband and I were unfortunate enough to stay just one night at Mimosa Lodge - would have loved to have stayed a few days more!

Sally is incredibly hospitable, offering us a cup of tea or coffee on arrival. The top room is just fabulous with a balcony looking out over the water. Slept so well - a combination of a very comfy bed and such a quiet spot.

An excellent breakfast to top it all off.

If you fancy a great meal nearby (£5 in a taxi), try the Little Gloster in Gurnard.

....but this is just the most wonderful bed and breakfast and just a short distance from the centre of Cowes.

We needed a room for the night and after looking round and round we plumped for Mimosa Lodge. On arrival we were met by Sally taken to a wonderful bedroom and provided with a welcoming cup of fresh coffee. We stayed in the large double room which was lovely, both spacious and airy with a well appointed bathroom, views from the window over the gardens and beyond across the Solent and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in away from home.

I thought nothing could beat the accommodation but the breakfast did! Fabulous fruit salad, chilled juice, fresh coffee and a beautiful freshly cooked (to order) breakfast, a full English if you like but I never got past my favourite, smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Really delicious!

Would we recommend this to others? Well all I will say is that we enjoyed it that much we have booked again and will be returning within the month for a long weekend - probably the best recommendation I could give but ssshhhh, don't tell everyone, I want to return regularly!

Spent two nights over the weekend. Lovely room with a very comfy and large bed, amazing bathroom (we may have to steal the shower idea), and excellent service. Breakfast was also brilliantly done, and we were offered our choice of daily paper. The extra touches really made this place and we would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: The top floor room with balcony has lovely views and an amazing bathroom, definitely worth that litt...
