We had a wonderful week staying in Tamara's cottage! It is beautifully presented and well-equipped with good-sized rooms. I particularly loved the garden with it's pots of lavender and geraniums, the perfect place to sit out and relax. The house is in a great location in East Cowes; a good food pub in walking distance, and a convenience store just round the corner. It really was home from home, and completely recommended!!

From the start, Tamara was incredibly helpful with our questions even before booking and she was the perfect owner/host!
We stayed here in July and had 2 adults, 2 small children (4yrs & 18months) and our dog. It was plenty big enough!
The house itself is exactly as it looks in the trip advisor pictures (some can be a little misleading!). It is a lovely and homely house: nicely decorated, comfortably furnished, stocked with everything you'll need and with a lovely garden.
Tamara even greeted us with fresh flowers and a cake, which was rather nice!
We were unsure of the location: whether there was enough to do around us or how easy to get about. But it worked out very well. It is within 20 mins drive of Fishborne docks and East Cowes docks is about 5 mins away. East Cowes itself isn't a great town for tourism, but it is fine as a base. The house is within an easy walk to a lovely marina situated pub (The Lifeboat), a Waitrose and the seafront. The local beach is not ideal (shingle), but there is a great playground and paddling pool on it with wonderful views across to Cowes. There is even a 'floating bridge / chain link ferry' to Cowes which is free for foot passengers and the kids loved it!
We could easily drive to anywhere on the island within 30 mins. My husband even cycled to most of the places (although there are some rather steep hills at points).
There is a park for exercising the dog about 2 mins from the house.
The only downside was the on street parking (generally not a problem, but was a little frustrating when trying to get 2 sleeping kids and a dog inside after having to park about 5 houses up). There isn't WiFi either, but it was nice to put the internet away for a week! 3G did work fine there though.
All in all, we would highly recommend the Isle of Wight, Tamara and her great house!!
