“Lovely and very busy”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

Came to the IOW for a trip away and was delighted to find this cafe. To our surprise it was very busy, and the lovely staff put in some tables and chairs from outside. Staff were lovely and the tea was dead cheap!
Would recommend to anyone!

“Simple food good location”
Reviewed 19 August 2013 via mobile

Overall a very pleasant lunch close to the beach at a good price.
They where flexible undoing the days special, ham egg and chips in a Childrens portion and the service was reasonably quick. If you are not looking for a quality dining experience but just as simple fair for lunch near the beach then this is fine.

“Crab sandwiches!”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

Lovely doorstep sandwiches and a good selection of food right on the beach. Enormous breakfasts (unless you have a huge appetite go for the small option) reasonably priced kids meals.

“Wish we came here first”
Reviewed 20 July 2013

This was our first visit and we were so impressed. The crab sandwich was really lovely - fresh granary bread thickly sliced and a very generous helping of fresh crab. A lovely salad accompanied the salad . This is the place to eat - lovely location right near the beach with lovely views. No music pumping out but peace and quiet and real good value, good quality food.
The coffee was also hot and refreshing. This will be our choice for the future.

“Great breakfast, great view, great setting”
Reviewed 14 July 2013 via mobile

Had a really nice breakfast here. A generous portion and everything cooked nicely - all the trimmings.
You can park within 50 meters in the large countil car parl (pay & display).
The view is stunning looking out over the Needles Channel towards Hurst Castle and west accross Christchurch bay down towards Poole and Swanage. I think this is the only place you can eat breakfast while looking at the sea in the west of the Isle of Wight.
Within a few meters down the concrete slipway is a lovely sandy beach with a couple of beach clobber shops with everything you need for fun on the sand or water.
Our food arrived quickly and they got our minor changes right and the waitress remembered which person had ordered no tomato and which no beans - a nice touch that is often missing these days.
We went for the large full english at £6.95 I think. Don't be put off by the price as it was certainly worth every penny as the food was good quality and perfectly cooked - also we got 2 nice thick slices of fresh bakery cobb style bread perfectly toasted - not just ceap cash and carry sliced bread - and 2 portions of butter without having to ask for extra. Another nice touch that impressed me.
Also the view and setting are trully stunning and worth every penny.
All in all an excellent experience and we will be going back for sure.
