A really lovely bay to relax in. Good for swimming with plenty of sandy parts. Wonderful view of the New Forest and mainland coast line, and in particular of Hurst Castle.

Gorgeous views but not so much to do when tide in and autumn day without sun. Def relaxing though so recommend it if have hour to spend and passing through.

I drove over because I'd seen some great photos of the sunset from here. I was glad only to have gone for a short trip however because it was really rather scruffy with few cafe options. The view of the sunset was marred a bit by the fact that the section of coastal path to Totland was fenced off - right where the sun sets. But that's not the fault of the location, of course. Kids seemed to be enjoying themselves after school but I wouldn't want to spend long there.

Good and quiet place to view the natural beauty. Not so many things to do, but would be nice to swim in the summer, and can enjoy surfing.

Every morning we walked from our campsite down Bramble Chine to Colwell Bay. We swam in the Solent and then walked - still in the sea - to the Captain's Cabin for breakfast. Sheer joy!
Most evenings we walked the same route (again in the sea) and sat outside The Hut restaurant with a chilled wine. Fabulous fun.although the walk back under the influence could be a bit iffy. A gorgeous natural bay. We love it!
