We stayed at Little Upton last weekend and we had a great time. It was our first visit to the Isle of Wight and we were very pleased with our choice of accommodation. The farm has 3 cottages - 2 are attached to each other and can sleep 6 people, and they have lovely views over the surrounding fields. The Cote where we stayed sleeps 4 in two ensuite bedrooms, and although it doesn't have the views it has its own private garden and is very nicely decorated inside.
We were welcomed with fresh cake and flowers on arrival. There is a trampoline, table tennis table, slide and soccer balls and net for the kids. Also cows, sheep, horses, dogs and ducks to admire! There are also a few kiddies bikes available.
We visited Shanklin Chine and then ended up on Shanklin beach which was lovely - it definitely seemed warmer on the island!! We had lunch outside at a tearoom in Shanklin and also went fishing at Rookley Country Park where we caught loads of fish. On the Sunday it was raining so we visited Dinosaur Isle which, although small, was packed with interesting fossils and interactive displays which my girls loved.
We had a brilliant time and would love to stay here again when we visit the Isle of Wight, especially as you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere but still a mere 5 minute drive from Ryde. The farm is also only about 15 minutes away from the ferry terminal at Fishbourne which is very convenient.
