“First Night Meal”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

As we were staying at the holiday village we decided to walk here as it was close by and we didn't want to go far.

Quite nice inside and the barmaid was very pleasant.

However very average food quite expensive and lots of chips. My husbands first choice of food was not available so he decided on the pie which was very overcooked.

We didn't visit again as we discovered the Seaview Hotel, The Old Fort and the Boathouse both of which were walkable from our holiday chalet.

“EXCELLENT PUB MEALS”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

The meals at this pub where a bit expensive but well worth it. I recommend you try the Carbonarra Taglitelle with Coconut.............. hat a brilliant taste. The wait for the meals was not too long although on the last night there the computerised system crashed which caused a slight delay. They had entertainment on one of the night we where there. Morris Dancers out on the front.

“What an improvement”
Reviewed 23 August 2013

This pub has been completely turned round since our last visit 2 years ago. The decor is vastly improved and there is a delightful sun deck overlooking the valley. There is also a decent size courtyard for smokers. We found the bar staff very welcoming and there was plenty of choice on the menu plus a specials board. Our meals were very good and the portions were generous. In fact we enjoyed our first visit so much we dined there 4 times during our stay on the Island and found the standards to be consistantly high. Although we only visited at lunchtime there appears to be a lot going on during the evenings including such things as live music and quiz nights. Trust it will still be as good next time we visit.

“Disappointing Meal”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

Whilst on holiday recently with our family, we all went for a meal at the Wishing Well (6 Adults & 2 children) only to be served up a terrible meal. If it were just one of the meals that was bad we may have understood but the whole 8 were really awful. The chips were burnt, fish overcooked and my daughter's turkey pie was inedible. No-one came to enquire if we were happy/ unhappy with our meals despite the fact that the place was almost empty. On paying the bill, the Manager was most unapologetic . We didn't bother with a dessert and I suggest no-one else does either.

We are always striving to improve our menu and service and are sorry to hear that on this occasion we did not live up to your expectations and have taken your comments on board. We would ask all our customers that if you are not happy with your meal return it or bring it to our attention straight away and we will gladly replace it. Whilst we are a dog friendly pub not all our customers are dog lovers and we have to have dog free areas.
