“Nice aray of shops”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

The Royal Victoria Arcade is beautiful inside. The little cafe has improved over time. For those into Angels and Fairies, there is a lovely little shop called The Enchanted Cavern." Which is owned by a lady named Julie. She is a friend of ours. She does Spiritual Card Reading and a lot of Angel and Fairy gifts. Well worth a visit. The Cigarette Card shop is my favourite. There are also shops for bags, books, antiques, collectables and a great museum in the basement, whit the history of the arcade. There is also the Donald McGill Postcard Museum These are well worth a visit.

“Worth a look.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

The Arcade is about half way down the main street - Union St. It's not very big but is in fairly good condition. At the end furthest from Union St.you can find out about the history of the Arcade which makes exploring it worthwhile. The shops - there aren't many of them - aren't really worth bothering with unless you have specialist interests like cigarette cards/pub memorabilia, musical instruments, and "antique tat" so don't get your hopes up. Years ago there used to be table top second hand markets in the cellar underneath - that really was worth visiting. I found some real treasures down there. But not now. Still, enjoy the architecture.

“Small, but very impressive place to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2014

This is a good place to visit, especially on a rainy day, but also any other time
There is a mixture of shops (not many) and a cafe in quite an atmospheric location with all the history.
All that said, it is off the main shopping street so well worth a pop in, it might only take a few minutes
