“A wonderfully situated child friendly holiday let close to all amenities and far reaching views”

This is a wonderful place to get away from it all. Situated on a working farm the hosts, Alison and Howard are extremely welcoming and friendly. This is a wonderful place for kids with toy tractors, a slide, ponies, tractor rides etc. The tea and cake on our arrival were ideal and such a nice touch. We would all thoroughly recommend the Old Byre after our fantastic stay.

“A place to relax”
Reviewed 15 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We stayed here for 2 weeks with my parents and our small dog so everyone was accommodated. My father is old and frail and so the downstairs en-suite bedroom was perfect for him.
Each of the 3 bedrooms is en-suite which is great. The one room living is good for being social and the large windows look upon a lovely view.
The property is not too far inland from Ryde but feels a million miles away.

“Wonderful farm barn and a great location”
Reviewed 10 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Excellent location, stunning views and great hospitality. Our daughter loved her pony ride, our son was thrilled 'to drive' a tractor. Mrs J showed us how she trains her sheepdogs and in the distance the steam train chugs by! The cottage is very homely, immaculately kept and homemade cake, plus fresh daffodils were lovely touches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this as one of the best cottages we've visited.

“Another perfect visit”

We had our 2nd trip to the Old Byre at xmas 2015. It was again perfect - beautiful accommodation with beautiful views. Alison and Howard were incredibly welcoming and we would not hesitate to go back.

“Beautiful Views”
Reviewed 15 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

My wife, baby, dog and I stayed here for a week in December. It's a beautiful place on a working farm. Fabulous views to wake up to in a comfortable and spacious barn conversion. The hosts were great and really looked after us. Will be returning!

“Fantastic Accommodation”
Reviewed 24 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Having spent 5 days at the 'Old Byre' it was really hard to leave. The converted Barn and facilities are first class and the views are absolutely spectacular. Travelling with my wife, 12 year old son and my Mum and Dad, I could not have wished for a better place to stay.
The owners Alison and Howard were brilliant and had some great stories to tell. My son got to see the farm and had a ride on the Quad bike which was very safe. The 200 acre views are so peaceful and mix that in with the Ducks, Sheep, Horses and Ponies it is such a beautiful place.
Alison is training her sheep dogs and gave a demonstration to my mum in the field which was incredible, and her three dogs are really friendly. The horses stick their heads over the garden fence in the morning for a stroke and I could not think of a better place to wake up in.
The bedrooms are all very comfy and each one has its own en suite PLUS another toilet downstairs.
First class accommodation and would highly recommend the Farm, accommodation and hosts... Will definitely be returning.......

“A country idyll, ideal for families.”

5 of 5 stars. Reviewed 3 weeks ago
As a family of six adults and one five year old we could not have chosen a better venue. The accommodation boasts excellent facilities, and the location is away from it all deep in the countryside while still being in easy reach of the Fishbourne ferry and Ryde. It is ideal for children with sheep and cattle to see and the possibility of a ride on both a tractor and a gentle pony .We all enjoyed a really lovely holiday.
