if planning to go during summer months check which days is late opening night - everything is open till 9ish with fireworks starting 9:30pm, we had a really nice day out. We didn't arrive till 1pm and made mistake of getting the unlimited pass for the chair lift, didn't need it as didn't have time to return to beach and there is nothing down there to see again, no toilets, no cafe just beach and place where get the boat - can't comment on boat we didn't do it - once back up to chair lift viewed our pics and headed for lunch, food was lovely no complaints. We purchased 2 books of tokens £18 seems expensive but a tip if you find you are going to have some left over you can use to purchase food and drink so no money has been wasted, also cand use towards the purchase of gifts. Queing was awful for the water bubble waited an hour but daughter (aged 8) enjoyed it, I think £4 or 4 tokens was a bit over priced for length of time they get in it. Watching the glass blowing was good and only £1pp same for sweet factory also and no pressure buy anything. Didmt go in cinema. Sand shop was extremely busy and more queing but can't be helped. Take food with you as cost us nearly £70 for 4 of us. Good day bit disappointing nothing to do at beach, wish had taken own food not as close to the needles as thought we would be and overpriced especially for families with more than one child. Good firework display.

Ok - the good.. The glass blowing demonstration was a great demonstration of real skill, well presented. The sweet making was also good and as before, well presented.
The bad - the food was shocking, throwback to 1990's uk theme park processed rubbish - unbelievable that they should dare to sell such garbage nowadays - but your a captive audience so they clearly get away with it.
The mediocre - aside from the chair lift to and from the beach there's little else except tat laden gift shops, a few outdated kiddies rides and the obligatory arcade.
Fireworks evening was ok - started out a bit Wilkos but got better - shame about the whacky races car park exit...

Too busy. Too expensive. Too tacky.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is dirty, crowded and expensive. This is not a nice day out and will definitely not be returning.

A great day out car park is limited and there is a charge but you do get a book of vouchers there is lots to see and do here little shops food places a chairlift to the beach great views on them but have to queue a viewing tower for the needles and a boat ride to go and see them
You have to buy vouchers to go on the rides etc so if in a family buy plenty as you will quickly run out don't forget the open top bus ride up to the top to see the view food and drink are reasonable and there is glass blowing not much fun but the sweet factory is very interesting

Visited the Needles as part of a coach tour so didn't have to pay for parking. There are various shops at the entrance including a sweet shop, gift shops, glass shop - lovely items of glassware available and demonstrations. It does seem to be a bit of a money making area, but we just went on the chair lift to the beach and back £4 return, £2 single. This was worth it for the view and the experience and it was funny counting the number of hats along the cliff which had blown off the chair riders! The beach was pebbles and you could see the coloured cliffs and the Needles in the distance. There is also a boat trip you can take to go out to see them better.
