Description: The winds of change have hit Forresters. We are now open as a Wine Bar with several bar snacks available from a simple sandwich to salads and house specials, all at very reasonable prices. I have decided that 3 courses of fine dining isn't always the best evening out. Sometimes a prawn cocktail and a glass of wine in elegant surroundings fits the bill perfectly. So there will always be a good choice of food but no longer fine dining. Still the wonderful ambiance of Forresters Hall, always good service but now at a fraction of fine dining and pub prices. How about a cocktail to start off your evening? Or reserve our mezzanine floor for a small private party. Hire out the whole place for functions or family get togethers. Or just pop in for an alternative place for a drink. I am determined to keep both food and drink prices extremely sensible, eg bowl of chilli and a crusty baguette for £5 and spirit and a mixer for £3. Regular live music, not loud but pleasantly entertaining and enjoyable. Regular pianist on most Fridays. I hope that you will still keep us on your list of places to go and look forward to welcoming you to Forresters Wine Bar.

We have eaten here a few times and each time it's like being greeted as a long lost friend. Amanda and Vicky can't do enough for you. The chef even pops out to make sure your food is cooked to perfection.

Overall a fantastic restuarant Perhaps others in the village should take notes.

We booked the Forresters for a Birthday / Anniversary celebration after reading the reviews on trip advisor (I'm glad we did) What can I say the food was fabulous, perfectly cooked and delicious!! 10/10 It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was full, the service was just right, not rushed at all time to chat and enjoy the lovely surroundings. Can highly recommend!

Just returned from a terrific evening out at Forresters Restaurant. What a gem!! It is an amazing building tucked down a side street in Yarmouth. The menu was excellent, with something for everybody; great wines; very attentive service and a dessert to die for. Having eaten in restaurants all over the world, I can thoroughly recommend Forresters and will be returning there on my next visit to the Isle of Wight.

Forresters is a magic gem that never fails to delight. We ate there on a busy evening with the rain bucketing down, with friends who were staying with us. All agreed that the meal was outstanding, with one person rating the lamb as the best he had ever had anywhere.

The evening was off to an awful start when our car broke down in the centre of yarmouth, but Amanda and her staff salvaged even that by caring, amazingly helpful service: helping with calls to and from the AA, replating a meal that had to be left for 10 minutes and above all showing great care for their customers.

When we need something special, but yet friendly, we now always think of Forresters and I am just very grateful to them.
