“Great location, lovely views!”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Lovely cottage all finished to a high standard. Great communal garden for the children with lovely views over the Solent.
Only issue with young children is it only has one toilet but we knew that when we booked it so we managed fine.
Despite the rain we had a lovely time.

“Lovely cottage in an ideal location”
Reviewed 29 April 2015 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed at Sea View Cottage in April/May 2014. It is a wonderful location - overlooking the Solent, backed by a wood - but just a short walk into Yarmouth itself. The cottage is well equipped and a great base to explore the Isle of Wight, where there is so much to do. The children keep asking when we are going back!

“Haven by the sea”
Reviewed 23 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We stayed at Sea View Cottage last month. The location is second to none, overlooking the sea and within walking distance to the town of Yarmouth.

We arrived by ferry and decided to leave the car in Lymington as the cottage is close enough to walk from the ferry port. We arrived late and would suggest you take a torch if you decide to walk to the cottage via the sea front!
The cottage, self catering.. perfect for us as we decided to stay in on our first night and cook a romantic dinner! The cottage is fully equipped with anything you need for your stay and a cute bottle of wine on the dining table on arrival was a great touch! The cottage is cosy, comfortable and the perfect relax destination. The bedrooms are large so if you wanted to take a couple of kids with you - there would be room, no problem.
The owners and neighbours were more than helpful advising of where to visit - best places for coffee, breakfast etc. and nothing was too much.

The cottage is gorgeous, the location is perfect - nothing better than being on the sea! And would we go back? Of course!

“Perfect”
Reviewed 22 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed at this wonderful cottage for a week at Easter '15 with our two boys (6 and 8). The cottage backs onto the forest (we saw a red squirrel!), and sits just back from the beach. We chose the location on purpose and it didn't disappoint; we didn't want to be in tourism-dom so got exactly what we wanted, peace and quiet, walks, beach, nature and views on tap. The communal green outside was just perfect, not only did we see rabbits and pheasants, but the boys got to play with the other holidaying & local children. I took so many photographs I don't think I'll ever get round to sorting them all. Fantastic cottage, wonderful location, perfect neighbours. 10 out of 10. Thank you.

“Great location, cosy and comfortable but in need of a refresh”
Reviewed 18 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Sea view cottage is in a fantastic location for exploring the IOW. If you want a car free day then Yarmouth is a walk / cycle ride away, and the little beach and woods at Fort Victoria are lovely for whiling away an afternoon. The cottage itself is tiny but very cute, is well-equipped, and made for a comfortable stay with perfect views of the sea. However, there were a few small niggles which would be easy enough to fix for it to fit the 'luxury' description on the website.

Overall, inside and out, the cottage could do with a seasonal refresh. The kitchen units are looking a bit tired and the odd cupboard door is on the blink. The shower over the bath is set too low to wash hair (I'm only 5'5"). There were cobwebs behind the chest of drawers in the bedroom, and dust and someone else's old sock under the sofa in the lounge. Outside the terrace area hasn't had as much loving care as Beach Cottage next door (part of the same company). The communal garden (full of adorably cute rabbits!), was also a little tired looking: the Wendy house looked abandoned, and the swing wasn't safe - it tips up when sat on.

Like I said, all of these things are really easily fixable, and I do hope they're sorted, as it really is a great little location and I'd otherwise be happy to recommend.

Had a perfect week here in June, weather was amazing and the setting of Sea View Cottage idyllic. Cottage was comfortable and clean. It also stands in the most beautiful part of the island. We also discovered a short walk away Colwell Bay.

“Perfect Holiday Cottage”
Reviewed 4 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed in Seaview cottage with our four year old granddaughter and could not have picked a better location. Safe communal garden for her to play with a little friend and Scruffy the lovely friendly dog who lives next door. Beautiful views and lots of things to do close by, lovely pebble beach for collecting stones and shells, sandy beaches and shops are only minutes away. The cottage is beautifully clean (Big Thank You Fran) very well equipped kitchen with everything you would need, really felt like home from home. Our granddaughter cried when it was time to leave, she'd had such a good time and made friends with everyone. It was the perfect holiday cottage destination and we can't wait for our next visit.
