This trip was one of the highlights of our fortnight's holiday! The day was dull, the sea was a little lumpy, but the trip was the BEST!! The skipper was very knowledgeable and answered all my soppy tourist questions - what was that; how did that; why was that..., etc. Brilliant trip, brilliant skipper, brilliant price for a wonderful experience. Thank you Captain from us both!!

My son and I spent an afternoon with Black Rock Charters on the 14th October. Neither of us had fished before but Robert (skipper and knower of all things fishing) made everything really easy for us. We were lucky with the weather, not sure how our sea legs would have coped otherwise! In no time at all we were reeling in Dogfish and Whiting. Robert caught a good sized shark which happily (well not really) posed for pictures before going back to his deep water pals. My son was so happy to catch his first fish which we took home and filleted (a first for me - but did a reasonable job thanks to YouTube) and ate the same day. You don’t get fresher than that. Thank you Black Rock for a really enjoyable part of our boys trip to the Isle Of Wight.

It was the end of a happy & successful fishing trip in Yarmouth AND IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I CAUGHT A FISH!!! MOREOVER it was two fishes in ONE GO! All credit goes to Rob from the Black Rock Charters who took us on the fishing trip and taught us how to do fishing. He was extremely friendly and very patient until we caught our fishes. It was a very happy moment for me and my partner as it was the first time we caught a fish! A must try fishing trip if you visit Isle of Wight.

Had a memorable and enjoyable afternoon out with Black Rock Charters. Went out past the Needles for some spectacular views. Rob was a patient instructor for someone who hadn't fished for forty years and was good company without being over chatty. Our party caught a variety of fish including pouting. dog fish, conger eels and a ray. There was enough for everyone to take home to eat.

The weather was generally good with some rain the latter turned out to be a big bonus because as we returned to the harbour we were greeted by a perfect rainbow which eventually turned into two. A great end to a great day.

Thank you for your generous review. So glad you enjoyed fishing on board Alaminta and so glad the rainbow I ordered for your return to Yarmouth harbour was waiting
