We stopped staying here regularly after the £200+ a night and can only book 2 nights minimum at the weekends policy....got a weekend deal at £99 + breakfast per night...that's much better.
We arrived on a warm sunny Friday afternoon...sat outside in the garden..no outside waitress service available....only one person running the place...had to go inside to order then take our drinks outside ourselves...ordered two bottles of reasonably expensive wines and asked for some nibbles...like a bowl of peanuts or crisps..like you get everywhere else outside of the UK ..particularly in a 4 star hotel....sorry we dont do that but you can buy some at the shops and bring them back with you ??!
Anyway, the room was excellent..comfy beautiful soft white linen and our friends got an upgrade to one of the paneled rooms with a sea view....the staff were all bright and cheery and the breakfast was superb.
Just lacks that little extra touch that you could reasonable expect for the money...but this is true of so many places in the UK.....will start to go back again.More
