Met by the manager who ushered us into the warm from the rain and into the bar by the fire for mulled wine...what a start to aspecial birthday weekend!! Nicole showed us to our rooms, we were a group of four and she was so lovely and friendly. The rooms were nice and had sea views, although the weather was poor the view was still great. We had a geat breakfast each morning, eggs benadict was great, good coffee and a wide selection offered. The bed was comfortable with quality linen and pillows. Thank you for a great stay andwe will be back

Just had a great well prepared christmas luncheon here with the family, really good christmas seasonal menu and excellently executed by the head chef . I visit the island often throughout the year from London and often struggle to find venues on the island with great food, i.e. a London standard food. Now i have found this restaurant I will of course return for further enjoyable meals.

A tastefully decorated Dickensian Christmas scene with the flagstone entrance lobby. Service at lunch could have been more attentive, I found that i was having to catch the eye of the staff for service rather than a natural process of them watch the movement of the room, this become more obvious when the second sitting started when waiting staff seemed to disappear completely . More training for waiting staff required, and judging by other reviews i have have read I'm not the first to point this out.

The guest toilets on the ground floor needs improvement they were more befitting of a workers or pub washroom rather than that of a quality establishment - Your secret to your future success will be with both your quality food, service and quality of offering - Overall good but I'm afraid not prefect yet...
