After a few sea fishing trips and only a small suicidal small pouting to show for it ,to actually see sea fish that I would have liked to have caught for a few quid entry fee was well worth it.Every fish around the I O W on display so near but so far from my hooks.Thouroughly enjoyed the educational tour it all looked natural murky and sea smelly rather than pristine tanks with distressed fish.A good hour spent reading and digesting the information and delicate troubled state our shores are in but I would recomend it.

I'm a bit torn about how to review this place - we were lead into thinking it was a lot bigger by the adverts but for the price of admission which was only a couple of pounds it was actually a very enjoyable half hour or so. The fish are well presented with interesting points about each one.My only issue is that for us it was a long way to go for an hour and a half (we went to the archaelogical centre as well) but if you are staying nearby and have a bit of time then its worth it.

We were looking for a good wet weather activity to keep our 18 month old daughter amused so we decided to visit the Fort Victoria Aquarium. On arrival it appeared from the outside that the aqauarium was quite small and so it proved. Our visit was probably only about 45 minutes and it could have been shorter had our daughter not amused herself by repeatedly walking up and down the ramps in the centre of the aquarium. Despite the limited size, there is a lot of very interesting sea life on display from around the UK and further afield. The tanks were mostly too high for our daughter to look into without being lifted up but she did enjoy looking down from the bridge into the pool where there were rays and sharks swimming beneath our feet. The staff were very pleasant and the entrance fee (£2.90) was about right although, on a per hour basis, there are better value attractions on the Island.

Please don't be fooled by the advertising. This and adjacent attractions are crammed "under the arches" which bear no resemblance to an old fort.

OK the entrance fees are cheap but even under 3 quid it's very questionable it they are giving value for money.

Must go in the model railway it's great fun spotting the hidden characters the kids loved it too would totally disagree with the other review as our family loved it so did the other family's that were there.
