It's no sea life centre, this aquarium does well with a small space. It has some really interesting displays while others could be better.

The aquarium was tucked in a little space. The thought behind the displays was great. Native marine life in the Solent and a lot of information on display. But the size of the property was very small and felt for a couple of the animals. Very small tanks. In a bigger place, the thought behind this would make a very good attraction.

The entry fee is very good value though.

Tucked away from the main tourist areas, you can tell this aquarium is maintained with a passion. Although small we spent just over an hour mesmerised by the marine life on show.

One particular highlight was the tank of baby cuttlefish who were incredibly entertaining. Most of the display features wildlife found around the island and culminates with a tank of rays. Beyond this is a small but diverse and entertaining selection of tropical fish.

The aquarium is extremely good value priced at £2.90

Fantastic little place, very interesting to see British sea life. Good value for money and very helpful staff. Nice interesting beach to have a walk along. Very good spot and free parking. Nice little gift shop too

Reasonably priced, this cost £2.90 per adult and our toddler was free. The lady there was pleasant and helpful. They are the main positives.

The aquarium is very small and dark and not well thought out for toddlers with fish in high tanks. We struggled to keep our 2 year old entertained. The labels for the fish are mixed up so hard at times to tell what you are looking at.

I'm trying not to be too negative as it was pleasant but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to see it and another reviewer hit the nail on the head when they said there are larger collections of fish in your average pet store or garden centre!
