“A very welcoming Tea Rooms”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

We stayed in Yarmouth from 19th-23rd of Feb 2014. We had afternoon tea 3 times and lunch once at Jireh House and would thoroughly recommend it. It is a B&B but we did not stay there. Jan the proprietor was so warm and welcoming and made the visiting very relaxing and enjoyable. The scones and cakes are lovely and the service cannot be faulted. We stopped for lunch and enjoyed fresh home made meals. Please build Jireh house into one of your visits for lunch or afternoon tea when in Yarmouth you wont be disappointed.

“A late night snack”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

After travelling for 8 hours to the island we arrived at the hotel but just needed something small and fresh to eat, we found this the only option around Yarmouth that did fresh simple foods like toasties. We caught them just as they were closing but they invited us in anyway and stayed open for us a little later. Had a nice conversation while eating with them and felt very welcome.

“Small portions”
Reviewed 5 October 2013 via mobile

Had an English breakfast with tea and toast. It was £8.25 and only got 1 sausage, a small portion of beans and cheap brown sauce. Felt a little ripped off! Friendly owners but wouldn't go back

“Good old fashioned tea room”
Reviewed 28 September 2013

I expected to see Capt Mainwairing and Sgt Wilson inside enjoying tea and biscuits. A lovely old-fashioned tea room with proper china and a pot of tea plus another with boiling water. The coffee was also very good and as I am very picky with my coffee they gave me an extra jug of hot milk to dilute it. We didn't have any of the cakes on display but there was a lot of variety there. I abstained as we were off on a boat trip - and Capt Pugwash I'm not! This is the second visit here and we'll undoubtedly call again. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Only a small amount of outside seating and we were lucky enough to have one of the tables and watch the world go by - and see a traffic accident - or as I call it "parking by ear!"

“A nice tearoom”
Reviewed 14 September 2013

Popped in here for a morning coffee and cake. Coffee was great but chocolate and caramel shortbread was a little small and dry. Scone and jam was about average.
