My friend and I booked this break at Norton Grange for new year , Most of the hotels at Warners were either full or extremely expensive . I have stayed at Cricket St Thomas before which was really lovely , so only had this experience to go when we arrived they had our booking wrong and given a very basic chalet with a double bed , we had ordered a twin . , which we knew was wrong , we complained and the receptionist was helpful and for a small charge extra moved us to the Standard Plus which was much better, lovely and warm and comfy beds . The main complaint was the entertainment , apart from the Panto which was very good , the rest was very very second rate . We expected to see the Jersey Boys on New Years Eve , the main reason we and many others it seemed we made the booking , but no , they came on New Years Day . They were very second rate nothing like the show in London . Quite honestly the staff did their best , but the entertainments team headed by a guy who was so full of himself , it was all dancing and extremely loud 'same old .. same old ' music , hardly any variation at all . Not much else to do except take part in the many quizzes , Wake up Warners , this was far behind the good reputation you have built up !!!!. ps I am a 4 star b@b owner . so I know about hospitality !.

Thank you for reviewing your recent break with us on Trip Advisor. It is a great way for guests to express their views and all feedback is carefully considered by our management team.

It is unfortunate that you were disappointed by some aspects of your stay, and I am sorry for the confusion with your booking on arrival. I am pleased we managed to provide you a Standard Plus chalet at your request.

I hope that you will return to Norton Grange in the future and experience the wonderful service and first class entertainment that our loyal guests have come to expect. We look forward to giving you a warm hearted welcome,

Kind Regards,

Scott King

We stayed at norton grange just before Christmas at an drinks inclusive break .
This was our first trip to norton grange but our 18 th to a warners hotel/ village resort.
The overall impression of the place was very dated, but very well run.
The accomadation had been decorated but not very well, especially the bathroom,
A very noisy extractor fan from the chalet behind us kept you awake as they left it on all night.
The curtains to the chalet leave a gap By the door and with the mirror placed where it was gave a good view of the bed t anyone walking past outside. Had to hang a towel over the end of the curtains to block off this problem. We also had a visit from silverfish on the carpet from the bathroom to main chalet area, this is normally caused by damp.
Apart from being dated the bed was comfortable and the room warm.
The rest of the resort area was clean and well maintained despite the bad weather.
Reception was friendly and courteous as at all of the warners we have been to.
Restaurant as always excellent choice of meals and service very pleased.
The entertainment staff were excellent and I would say among the best we have seen.
The drinks inclusive package was very good value with major brands on all drinks.
Overall a great weekend but dampened by the weather and dated accomadation .

Room Tip: Upgrade to a better chalet

Having already stayed at 2 other Warners were looking forward to our stay at Yarmouth. We had booked a premier chalet and were not disappointed. Plenty of room, lovely and clean and the bed was so comfy. Being a bit picky you could say the bathroom could do with a lick of paint but everything worked. The weather was very wet and windy and the walk to the dining hall was a challenge but once we got there we were welcomed by the entertainment team singing carols. A smile from our waiter and all was well. We were spoilt for choice with the breakfast and evening meal menu( I would go just for the food alone!) The entertainment team work so hard to make the shows enjoyable and I think they were the most professional team I have seen so far. The whole package was enjoyable and I would love to go again in the new year.

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor.

It is unfortunate that you didn't have great weather, but do consider coming back, maybe during our summer months when you can enjoy our splendid views from the decking and watch the boats sailing by as you enjoy a glass of something special!

Whatever the weather, you are assured of a friendly welcome and more great service from our warm hearted team.

Kind Regards,

Scott King

Had a lovely time at Norton Grange. The staff worked so very hard to make it a memorable break. Lots to do and quiet also if you just wanted to chill. Nice walks to be had. Lovely surroundings. We had a very nice chalet very tastefully decorated, bathroom however looked like it had been painted/done up by "Mr Magoo" lol, it was very clean though and as we weren't planning on staying in there for our three night stay it wasn't a problem but all the same very odd as the main room was done up so nice. All in all a very good break with excellent hardworking staff. Would definitely go again.

Thank you for reviewing your break with us, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay.

Our bathrooms are one of the areas that we are focussing on at the moment, with several of our chalets undergoing a 'makeover' with new fittings and fixtures.

We would love you to return and see for yourselves. Come back soon!

Kind Regards,

Scott King

Spent last weekend at Norton Grange as always staff excellent, food great chalet very clean but must say getting very dated.

Very lucky with the weather so able to do a lot of walking around the area but did also find time to use some of the facilities. As always the comedian on the Friday was good, attended the Panto a delight, however the Bee Gees tribute I thought very poor having seen another tribute to the same great group in Bembridge earlier this year who knocked spots off them found this very dissapointing.

Got off to a bad start when porters mislaid our luggage wouldnt do that again, but all in all a good time was had. Will be back at Easter hopefully chalets will be looked at whilst you are closed for two months.
