Visited 7-11 April 2014. Booked 'plus' chalet and was not disappointed. Just like expensive caribbean hols we've been on, you return each day to towel sculptures on your bed!
Food is excellent, especially the meals cooked for you off the menu. Recommend the Eggs Benedict, duck in kirsch, and all the deserts!
Great entertainment, we got hooked on the quizzes, held 3 times a day, watched some great films, and the evening cabaret was first class.
However - we are in our early 50s and were the youngest there. The location, late night disco and entertainment are so well suited to younger adults, but they would defiantly be put off by the fact everyone is over 70. In addition there were coach loads of disabled OAPs, adding to the atmosphere of a nursing home. This is a real shame!

Maybe Warners could stop running 50s and 60s nights, and introduce 70s and 80s weekends, hence attracting the 30-50 age group. After all, this is where the money is!
I would not return, but only because of the age of the clientele.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent visit to Norton Grange.

I am pleased that you were happy with your food, accommodation and entertainment programme.

We do welcome all of our adult guests, of any age, and we do spend a great deal of time organising our programme of activities and events to suit all age groups, abilities and tastes.

We offer a varied programme of themed weekends and entertainment. This year we have enjoyed the sounds of Motown and Soul (in April) and a Michael Buble tribute in May. Looking ahead, we have tributes to 'Queen', 'The Eagles', 'the Beach Boys' and even 'Take That'. I do feel that these breaks may better suit your tastes and I would love you to come back and experience something slightly different.

If you do decide to return, to any of our Hotels, we would be very happy to assist you with your booking. Please call our friendly Sales Advisors on 01983 760323.

Kind Regards,

A Warner Weekend was never the sort of thing which I thought I'd ever do, and we only went because a couple of family members had booked but could not go so we took their place.

Warner Weekends are aimed at the 50+ market and children are not allowed.

After checking in (handled efficiently) and finding our room (basic but just fine and spotless) we elected to go on the 4 o'clock tour of the facilities. Of the hundreds of guests we were the only two who chose to do so and the Entertainments Manager took us round, showed us bar, ballroom, restaurant, swimming pool, bowling green, games room, gym (snooker, pool, shuffleboard and a few other things) and the outdoor area for Archery and air-rifle shooting. A most helpful and entertaining chap.

A stack of activities are offered: quizzes, dance classes, bingo, archery to mention just a few.

Evening entertainment theme on this occasion was Motown/Soul which does not really float my boat but the performers were very good and we had an enjoyable time on the dancefloor.

In terms of food, I've reviewed the restaurant separately.

Norton Grange is about 10 minutes walk from Yarmouth, has it's own sea frontage and offers an easy stroll to Port Victoria a few hundred yards to the west.

In short, we didn't know what to expect but had a good time. Would we go back? Yes.

Room Tip: When booking please remember that it is chalet accomodation. If disabled or hard of walking make sur...

When we arrived we were told to park in reception car park and then had to walk to our chalet. As it was pouring with rain we were very wet when we arrived only to find a car park almost outside our door which we weren't told about.
The jazz provided over the week end was top class and the Jive Aces were really brilliant. They were a lovely friendly bunch of lads and extremely talented, would love to see more of them.
The food was really good and staff very friendly and helpful.
The whole place seems to be set up for the elderly, which is great if that is what you want. We do prefer to see a few younger people in the mix.
However it was what it was and good value for money.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trip Advisor. I am pleased you enjoyed a 'great' weekend.

We do offer a luggage service on arrival as there is limited parking close to the chalets. We advise our guests on where to park according to where they are staying and luggage is delivered, saving the hassle of carrying your own luggage from the main car park. I am sorry for any confusion on this occasion and hope that on your next visit, you will be impressed by our service, designed to take the stress out of your arrival.

We hope to give you a warm welcome back to Norton Grange soon,

Kind Regards,

This is our 6th visit to a Warners resort but our first to Norton Grange and would rate it highly. We found the staff very friendly and attentive, our waitress was Kaisa and she was excellent! The food was delicious and very well presented. The shows were all brilliant especially Clem Curtis who brought the house down! Female soul singer Nym King had such a beautiful voice and also got everyone in the party spirit. Well done to Ricky Lee for providing great entertainment along with his own talents and humour! We did a wine tasting experience with Ben the restaurant manager who clearly loves his wines and gave a very enthusiastic and educational presentation which inspired us to want to learn a bit more about what we drink, thanks Ben! Our chalet was in Haseley block and was very comfortable and well maintained and quiet. Our only criticism would be the bath towels are too small. To sum up, a great resort with an excellent Team providing a good value break! We hope to be able to come back soon.

Thank you for your great and very personal review. The team members you mentioned have all been made aware of your comments and I thank you for recognising their efforts.

I was also here for Clem Curtis, and I have to agree, a fantastic night! We have a Motown weekend in September to look forward to, and also Herman’s Hermits in December which is always great fun. It would be great to see you there!

We look forward to giving you a warm welcome back soon,

Last weekend we attended the wonderful Jazz Festival with friends & were not disappointed. Excellent friendly & helpful staff everywhere. Superb choice of food both at breakfast & dinner served by attentive staff.
Being Jazz fans we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of all the Jazz bands & the Jive Aces performances were spectacular - what a show.
We were very fortunate with the weather & sat outside overlooking the Solent on Sunday morning for a couple of hours - just like mid-summer. The grounds & gardens are immaculate & well maintained.
Regret our chalet was very tired & definitely needs immediate refurbishment so if we returned we would definitely book an upgrade from standard quality. All in all a quality weekend with terrific Jazz music which is what we went for.

Room Tip: Book an upgraded room

Just back from Norton Grange, what a week. We were first timers and were not sure what to expect. Very surprising. We had a great time. We decided that we would join in and go with the flow, glad that we did. There was lots to do (free) and lots to join in with. The food was fantastic, good variety and standard. My compliments to the chef.
As for the entertainment, superb. The entertainments team could not have done more, the energy and enthusiasm was above and beyond the call of duty. (They deserve a pay rise Warners).
Would we go again?
Yes Yes Yes

My husband and I are in our late 50's but in our heads still think we're 20. I've never had a holiday camp/ village stay before and so my only experience of this is via 'Hi de Hi' but after an exhausting winter, the offer looked to be good value and we took the plunge. We arrived on Monday with no expectation, plan B being to use the hotel, at worst, as a base for exploring the island. Well, how wrong we were. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the whole experience. Friendly, helpful and engaging staff in reception, bar, restaurant, leisure team, entertainment team right through to Amy , who left us wonderful towel sculptures in our chalet each morning. Nothing was too much trouble. The chalets were comfortable, warm and well-equipped. The restaurant was efficiently managed with a large number of people eating at the same time and the food...... definitely NOT your average mass catering, more like having a delicious meal in a celebrated restaurant . Fantastic choice for breakfast, and dinner....Choice of five starters including seafood, game terrines, soup. Choice of select-yourself carvery casserole/curry as well as four mains served to the table and five desserts or cheeseboard. Different menus each night - so hard to decide what to select and not one dish was disappointing .
Fantastic views from the lounge over the Solent and the bar had my favourite Lagavulin 16 year old malt at a very reasonable cost! So many activities to choose from - we swam before breakfast each morning, learned archery and rifle shooting ( even managed to avoid hitting the pheasants and resident rabbits). Participated in very creative fun quizzes, watched two recently released films, had lovely walks along the coast and met interesting people. What I liked was that there were activities to keep you occupied from morning until bedtime with the entertainment staff on hand throughout, yet they were not 'in your face', but there to ensure you had a great time if you chose to participate Their professionalism really shone in the evening entertainment - what a high standard of musical theatre!!!. Close your eyes during the songs from the shows and you would think you were in a West End theatre. Would we go back again? Without a doubt! Thank you all at NG - we had the best holiday we've had in years!
