A five-minute drive on hilly, winding roads from the postcard perfect village of Granville (and only about half an hour from the bustle of Easton Town Center and Columbus airport), and your vehicle may need to pause for a group of waddling ducks as you drive up the hill to the house. The building looks older than it is, and a large addition has been gracefully blended in. A huge covered porch leads back to a small pool area with a wonderful pool house converted to a year round retreat next to the bocce area. The interior reminded us of the best features of English country homes given an American update. Original art, old books, and lovely fabrics catch the eye throughout every room. Bobbi and Jeff have stepped into second careers as hosts incredibly well with careful attention to differing guest preferences. Our breakfasts featured omelet with choice of sautéed vegetables and a whole grain French toast with maple bacon and Ohio maple syrup. We particularly appreciated being sent on our way with cups of coffee along with the smiling farewells. This is a place to relax, linger and enjoy!

We found The Welsh Hills Inn on tripadvisor. We had originally planned to get married in Gatlinburg, Tenn. We were unable to make the trip. We stayed at the Welsh Hills Inn the night before our marriage ceremony. We could not have asked for anything more PERFECT. Bobbi & Jeff were the perfect hostess & host. We had a wonderful time talking with them. FYI....Jeff makes the best Omelette that I have ever tasted. Their home is comfortable & very impressive. A wonderful experience for us.
It will always be a memorable time that we will cherish. We plan on making return visits on our anniversary (or just for a relaxful time).

I found this B & B by doing a little searching online and it was a easy pick from the well done website alone!.. The entire time there we were comfortable and enjoyed Bobbie and Jeff's beautiful home and their company as well!!.. We took a tour of town and had some fabulous food and wonderful atmosphere.... One beautiful afternoon we went out on the grounds with Jeff and did some shooting which was SO FUN!!... We never did shoot that honeybadger LOL but, had a Great time trying!. I will return for Jeffs Breakfast's alone! They were awesome!...Thanks for allowing us to share a wonderful weekend full of relaxing moments in your home.... Cant wait to return..

It was a glorious day for the state of Ohio when Bobbi and Jeff Noe decided a couple of years ago to open a B&B in Granville, east of Columbus. Not only do I suspect that the Welsh Hills Inn is the best B&B in the region, but it is easily nicer than any B&B I’ve ever stayed in among the dozens I’ve visited in the U.S. and Europe. The Noes have taken the Bed & Breakfast concept to an entirely new level.

For starters, the house itself, set on 15 acres on the outskirts of the small community of Granville, is an architectural gem. The large white pillared house sits – no, scrap that -- it beckons, from atop a hill at the end of a long winding drive.

We arrived after dinner and were met by Bobbi and Ellie, the family’s Golden Retriever. Bobbi showed us up to our large airy room, the Darwen Del, which was furnished to perfection, with beautiful antiques and exquisite art. Come to think of it, the entire house is furnished to perfection with beautiful antiques and exquisite art.

The bathroom was next door to our room (i.e. not en suite), but it was ours alone, and it was lovely. One of the Noes’ many smart touches was to put a very large real rug in the bathroom (none of this dinky bathmat stuff), making the bathroom even warmer and cozier than it already was. Our his & hers bathrobes (red, of course, to match the dominant hues of the room) were soft and cozy. The comfy bed and crisp autumn air lulled us into a slumber to rival Rip van Winkle.

We stayed for three nights, and breakfast was delicious all three mornings: omelettes (made by Jeff), French toast, robust coffee and a rich selection of tea, organic preserves and fresh-squeezed o.j.

So far so good. Let’s talk about the innkeepers. As if the beautiful, elegant rooms and delicious food wasn’t enough to warrant a rave review, there’s also the incredible hospitality of Bobbi and Jeff. They’re inquisitive of their guests without being intrusive, welcoming without being oily about it, and helpful without falling over themselves. The bottom line: this is a great place run by two of the loveliest innkeepers you’ll ever met.

The Welsh Hills Inn is one of the most memorable lodging experiences we've ever had. It is the standard by which we will probably judge all B&B's from now on. Everything about this home is well done. The grounds are beautifully bucolic, set up on a hillside overlooking the rolling scenery. The home itself, the rooms, the pool, the interior decoration, everything about it, show great attention to detail. I just wish it would be closer to home. We would definitely visit more for that "get away" experience.
